Sheen, "voluntarily enters rehab center"

You know what they say, eighteenth time is the charm.

In all honesty Charlie Sheen's life has never sounded that fucked up. The guy does coke and booze surrounded by porn stars and piles of money. They should leave this guy alone and send people with dull lives to rehab.

Well, in a culture of excess and wealth, he's got to at least pretend to give a fuck, if nothing else, just to appear like he's sorry for spending his money in the open in unapproved ways.

Hopefully it'll stick this time. It looks like he could possibly do a River Phoenix and just die if he doesn't get his act together.

I read where production on 2.5 men was shut down. You have to wonder what his co-stars REALLY think of him and his antics. On the one hand, I'm sure they worried about him as a person. But day to day, they never know when they're going to be out of job because of his dumb ass.

Exactly.. he's the star of the show. While the others have gotten semi-famous with the show too he's carrying the show and that means an obligation not only to the actors(who'll do fine now financially even if the show shuts down now for good) but to the whole crew as well who depend on the show for a living.

Rehab to stars has proven more of a time out to them because the majority of them fall back into old habits. It's also because the justice system is kind of weak to them and let's them go after a few days in prison (tops) rather than burying them for the entire sentence behind bars.

Serving the entire time behind bars would actually be kind of rehab because they'd feel real consequences and may start to think a bit.

Personally i like Sheen and many movies he's done but i guess he's either got some serious self control problems or has some very deep issues and if he doesn't adress them he may end up overdosing and in the news for good.

Or even worse, on "Celebrity Rehab".
He seems like a one-note actor to me.

Jon Cryer said the other day: "I always check TMZ in the morning to see if I'm going to work that day."

As for our boy Charlie....he's living the dream. A fine American.

:techman:

I guess 2.5 Men is done (production wise) for the season as Dumb Ass is going into 3 months of rehab. I wonder how many episodes they have in the can?

I'm also reminded of comments by producers (or maybe CBS officials) from a week or so ago about how Dumb Ass is a professional and always does his job. How's that working out for you?

LOL @internettoughguy.

What's "internet tough guy" about it? I just think it's funny that they came out and made a big deal about how he was professional and always showing up to work and about a week or 2 later, this happens. (Plus I'm little irritated at CBS anyway so anything that MIGHT cause them a little grief kind of amuses me a little. I do feel sorry for the rest ot the cast and crew that depend upon the show for their livelihood though.)

Not sure what your point is.

That poor kid will have to get by on his guaranteed $7.8M for the next two seasons plus $500000 signing bonus. I sure hope he saved his money from the previous years or he won't know what to do.

I think they'll be OK.

Yeah he will be, but I was thinking about other cast members, and more precisely the production crew. Those production people don't make that kind of money and now they're essentially laid off.

Our local radio station plays a blurb in the morning about "celebrity scoops" and I don't know how accurate it is, but they said the last time there was a hiatus because of Sheen in rehab, they got partially compensated. It's unknown at this time if that will happen or not this time around. If they don't, I would imagine they're not too happy with Mr. Sheen right now.

Might be funny, too. Charlie Harper should just disappear for no reason, and then return without any explanation, leaving everyone around him puzzled.

Sheen is the center of the show and without him there is no show.. it's like taking Bill Cosby out of his family in The Cosby Show.

They may come up with an idea to film a few episodes without him as a sort of test balloon to see how the ratings respond but in the end you need him to run the show.

As i read (and as much faith as you can put in such reports) the producers and the network are really getting fed up with Sheen and they may decide to sink the ship if he doesn't get his shit together.

There is no need to post drive by trolling like this - if you don't like what is said, either answer it decently or ignore it.
This isn't the first time even in the last couple of days you have overstepped the mark - further incidents will result in infractions.

Comments to PM.
