Saul is a extension from when the genre was still big. Also you will always have a few examples all the time. Like how even though Westerns are dead but you still have a few westerns from time to time.
Generally speaking right now it's all comic book stuff and reboots and sequels. Also lots of positive life affirming stuff like The Good Place and Ted Lasso which is basically trying to put more upbeat spins on old story tropes. Some of it's actually pretty good. But some of it also goes bad like Discovery.
Lot of is because the market moves away from Gen X, which loved edgy and dark stuff. Young people wants stuff that is socially conscious. Problem is that won't last because of the internet. Tv and movies work better on a raw emotional level and what younger people like works better on the internet because the internet allows you to be a active participant in your entertainment as opposed to watching it on a tv screen.
That's a big reason why the internet is replacing tv's old role in society. People aren't just watching but going online and being apart of it. It's why I think like 80% of young people now grow saying they want to be online influencers. I am guessing almost everyone at some point will have a podcast,blog or Youtube channel. Gen X and previous generation didn't grow up wanting to live on the internet.

^This. Even the lovely men in my life are often blindsided when they hear us women talk about asshole behavior from other men.
Two quick flashes. Look closely at the end of the second. I wonder after Jen's thoughts before the gala if there could be a bigger fight about to happen.
Yeah, I had several friends who were great guys all the time. The women who knew them had many different and less savory versions to speak of. I'm sure several women would have equally ill stories to speak of me back in my stupider days of youth. Men are assholes. Some grow out of it. Too many grow worse with age.
I had a few female friends who said every guy they dated turned out to be an asshole. When they would never consider their part in the mess that was their lives you could guess they had no small part in instigating their disastrous outcomes.
So... people can assholes? Men, women, and children all?

Assholes are like opinions, everyone's got one.
Taking our cue from Otto in "A Fish Called Wanda", my hubby and I yell "ASSHOLE!" at those who drive waaaaay too fast on our residential street.
I don't think every guy is an asshole, I know I sure as hell try my hardest not to be, but pretty much every woman has stories (plural) about dealing with asshole guys.

i just had a look at myself.... maybe i wasnt the best man when i was younger.
But looking at my sons, and young ppl in general today, i think they are better versions.
And there are some extreme cultural caps all over the world where old "wise" men
have a horrific view towards women, in europe, usa, the arabic world, Africa etc that have
laws that forbid abortions and so on.
it's discouraging to think of.... but maybe the majority of men really are terrible assholes...
we have a long way to go before arriving at any Star Trek version of reality, thats for sure.
anyway i have hope for the future, i really mean that, the young ppl today ARE better
versions of humans than the generations before.

That opening sequence was good. I don’t know why she is in prison. She barely did anything. Feels like I’m missing something.
That was a very weird ending. It was more meta than Deadpool. At least she asked where the X-Men are.
So Bruce was off doing Planet Hulk. I haven’t heard of a third Hulk movie in the works. I think Universal still have the rights for solo Hulk movies.
Abomination will be in Dr Strange 3 I’m guessing.

Wow, I didn't think this show had that in it. Will the internet break, I guess we'll find out.
I thought it was strange to have Hulk in the preview for Jen's show actually so this certainly addressed that. I'll never think of the Disney menu or Marvel Assembled the same way. Loved Tatiana's winks at the X-Men and smashing Daredevil lol
