Shatner's 'Trial Run'

Perhaps I overreacted a little. If you go back a page you'll see the whole thing started with me saying that Trek novels shouldn't go overboard trying to fix goofs and mistakes in Trek.

I don't think you'll find anyone anywhere who likes bieng compared to someone they've never heard of.

FWIW, the Trantor-like San Fransisco makes a lot more sense to me for what is pretty much the hub of the entire Federation. I wonder about overpopulation and if 2-child policies are inforced worldwide (want more kids? Move to a fledgling Federation colony world!) in this version of Earth's future? Problems like overpopulation don't go away by magic.

Anyone anywhere?

You know, it's funny, when I joined ST fandom in 1980, people kept telling me I reminded them of another ST fan who used to be around years earlier. Both physically and sense of humour-wise. I did finally meet him, after many people had made the comparison, and we got along famously.

If this has been discussed already at some point I apologize for bringing it up again. I just started reading the Shatnerverse novel Collision Course, which I'm rather enjoying. I'm curious though as to what the hold-up is on the second novel in this new series, as there appears to be no release date for it as of yet. Is there some kind of conflict of interest with the Abramsverse? Or are the Reeves-Stevens busy with another project?
Hello,
Do you still have this book?

Hello back, AnnOfGreengable! Unfortunately no, I no longer have this book. When I saw this thread resurrected, I actually had to stop and think hard about what it was even about, as I didn't recall the title. Then it came back to me.

Check out Amazon; they have a listing for it in both hardcover and paperback. I'll be curious what you think if you end up reading it.

:)
