Shatner on the new Enterprise

Far more than I care about what most people here think, yes.

What's actually funny/endearing about Shatner is that he doesn't care or know much about this stuff - if he was asked to pick the original Enterprise out of a lineup of Trek ships he might have to phone a friend.

He said in an interview once - I think it was back in the early 80s before Trek became sort of a big deal again - that he mainly remembered the different episodes by "who the girl was" in them.

I disagree with him however, the ship imo isn't "shipshape". I hold out hope that ship is a timeline tampering anomaly which will be erased. If not, fine but I won't be buying it for my Starship collection unless it somehow woos the crap out of me during the film.
