I'm just guessing as I figure a creature like that lives only on instinct and the number one instinct would be food. I don't think they were just out to kill the 'invading' species, but it's possible.

Despite the reset button, this is the first truly excellent episode. I hope they can keep it up. I'm finally starting to get into most of the characters.

The mid-season finale is this Friday. There were no new episodes on SyFy last week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

I'm not sure when the series will resume after that. Gateworld doesn't seem to have the dates yet, or didn't last time I checked.
