Well, it looks like T-Bag took a page out of the Khan Revenge Guide when he decided to fuck with Rush's head. Too bad he decided to mess with a Scotsman who has killed aliens with his bare hands.
I'm not sure Young will do anything in this case. Let's face it, the odds of them capturing Simeon were real low to begin with and when Greer fucked up by only shooting him once in the thigh before getting nailed, that option was gone. Besides, Young isn't stupid enough to not realize that Perry's death will have a negative effect on Rush and that antagonizing him will just make things worse.I wonder how this will affect the Young/Rush dynamic, I mean Rush just connected with Young in fostering some level of cooperation before again utterly defying him for selfish gain yet again. I know the situation was extreme but it's not like this is the first time he's done something like this.
The problem is that SG-1 never really showed that side of the Alliance off well, because we first saw them as a band of criminals and then they had Ha'taks and were warlords all of a sudden. I think that if the Ori arc hadn't happened, we might have seen better development of the Alliance since they would've been the primary antagonists of the series.About the LA threat:
The Goa'uld were all about the theatrics of war. They were grand and obscene, which is why they were always the big threat in the huge motherships, thats how they lived and thats how they always did it for thousands of years. In this case, the SGC had a clear enemy to fight, they knew they'd always come head on which in a way made them easier to fight.
The Lucian Alliance on the other hand, for lack of a better comparison are Al Qaeda in this situation. As helpful LA guy said, theyre all different clans banded under one name. They emerged as a power in the galaxy by starting out as a crime syndicate, and the best way to pull of a crime is to keep it quiet. That's how the Lucian Alliance should operate, and that's probably the nature of the threat.

This show has always had great background music.I love this background music. It really set the mood for that scene.
I wish we had seen the incident go down.I'm sad Ginn and Perry are dead, I wouldn't have thought it would have killed both of them, so what happened to the other body on the other side, is the body still alive but with no mind? Or is the body dead too? They need to explain this better.
Why? They never use it.They really should keep more people at the gate.
Yeah, it didn't make much sense. Seemed like a plot contrivance to up the tension. We have 9 hours till destiny jumps into ftl?? they control the ship know, that makes no sense.
I didn't get that either. Do they have partial control or just a pure flub?
New Mexico.I wonder where they filmed this. This planet doesn't look at all like Vancouver.
My thoughts exactly.Well, if she lands face forward it'll cushion the fall.Noooo! Don't kill Lt. Jugs!
Or his mood. You know, changing the happy face to a frowny face or maybe an angry face.Geez, Rush it's no time for video games.
I think he was updating his Twitter page!

I liked that. Finally a show where someone wants the enemy to live and suffer a loss. You don't see too much of that.Well, it looks like T-Bag took a page out of the Khan Revenge Guide when he decided to fuck with Rush's head.
Didn't think of that but yeah, it did. It was quiet and eerie like the barren frontier.this was a great episode, felt like a western kinda
I kept thinking that space travel and extra terrestrials have to be kept secret and an attack could expose everything. Never felt that way with SG-1, but for whatever reason I feel that way with this show.I admit I wasn't paying attention, but why exactly is the Lucian Alliance a credible threat to Earth?
The show does have some excellent moments. That's a part of why I like it. Interesting distinction though. It appears they can do character *moments*, just not character based stories.
"All Along the Watchtower" applies to everything."You were expecting 'Stairway to Heaven'?"
No, actually.... I was hoping for "All Along the Watchtower."
With Atlantis now on Earth, at least they have the sensors there to track uncloaked ships in FTL. Better than nothing, I suppose.[...] there should be networks of satellites with Asgard/Ancient sensors and what not surrounding the planet, especially now that they have the Asgard core. [...]
Rush (I believe it was Rush at least) theorized that Simeon was likely going to attempt to backtrack to the Lucian Alliance personnel who had previously been left behind. I have to agree, however, that that plan doesn't make a whole lot of sense. There would be nowhere to go from there; they'd never be able to return home, they'd have to just settle for living there.[...] Simeon's actions didn't make much sense. Sure, he wanted to kill Ginn and he did. But, what, he wanted to die a poor miserable death isolated on some planet? [...]
Finding a new planet to settle on and searching for resources, sure, I got that. But I don't see how Simeon could reasonably expect to find a way back home without a ship. The gate network wouldn't have been enough to get them there.
The alternative was to stay on Destiny and behave, which clearly wasn't an option for this guy. Plus he probably figured he might have a chance catch up and retake the ship again once he hooked up with the others by gate hopping ahead of them.
Not the most rational line of thinking but then he wasn't the most rational man.
As I've already stated, I am aware that was his plan. I am, however, questioning the logic of his plan. Simply returning to those individuals serves no real purpose. They would, after all, still be stranded with no way to return home. It makes far more sense to me to stick with Destiny at this point in the hope that the ship will eventually be in a position where he could escape to return to the LA, rather than to willingly accept exile in a far-off galaxy. Not home, but back to the group of LA members they left on that planetFinding a new planet to settle on and searching for resources, sure, I got that. But I don't see how Simeon could reasonably expect to find a way back home without a ship. The gate network wouldn't have been enough to get them there.
I was kind of hoping T-Bag would stick around on Destiny in John McClain Die Hard mode.
I think they already wore out their welcome with that when the LA first arrived.
