I was really upset with how the 'heroes' discussed committing Genocide in this episode. It was bad enough when Sheppard (and of cause Ronan) wanted to blow up the hive ship at the beginning and murder the defenceless wraith on board even though they'd come seeking help. But contemplating 'getting rid of the wraith once and for all' aka genocide and the only argument against it was that it might not work? Atlantis has always had questionable ethics but this went too far.
Charlie
They don't have to kill all the Wraith and they wouldn't. They would only kill those that would continue to attack them. Once peace has been reached I'm sure Atlantis would stop having to defend itself.

The remaining Wraith would be happy to co-exist with the rest of the people in the galaxy.

You do know that if the treatment dosen't work the Wraith have to feed off oh humans to survive don't you.

Then the part about "They would only kill those that would continue to attack them" would apply again. You did realize that didn't you?

They're part of a coalition now with the locals who have local fear and local loathing, so the rest of the humans in the pegasus galaxy would harbour some resentment to the nigh immortal wraith which have personaly been feeding on their families and ancestors for thousands and thousands of years. If the Wraith were suffficiently neutered, the only recourse for their survival would be to transpose the lot of them and set up a colony in the Milky Way or give them the technology to voyage out to a completely different galaxy which is an insideous can of worms to consider if the modifications don't stick.

Average, how many times have they had to escape from a hive ship now?

Its practically cliché.

And considering Todd had no qualms in letting the entire crew of the dadelius die, I dont see why anyone is boo hooing about John and Ronan wanting to leave them all to die at the start.

The ship breaking in half was well done, the FX for landing in the water less so.

And for a minute at the end I thought they might be sending Todd out to the same space gate the sent the replicators through.

I like that, the default "get rid of problems" gate.

Maybe they sent that IOA chick there, too.

Just gobs of people and objects floating in space near that gate.

"Hey, there's Rodney's defective alarm clock."

Sorry, that was a terrible episode.

As biotech says, ANOTHER escape from the Wraith hive ship episode? It's practically every other week! If it's not village of the week, it's wraith retrovirus/gene treatment/whatever they're calling it these days.

Very dull, very cliche, and once again we're treated to endless gunfire scenes that got boring and annoying years ago.

We even saw the same crappy episode this season before, it was called 'Whispers'. Right down to "we have a problem, the pods are empty.... all of them"

SGA lazy, terrible writing at it's absolute worst.

Keller continues to be a whining little girl with the personality of a 12 year old.

One plus point was the CGI. The shot of the ship breaking apart was fantastic. On the other hand, the hive hitting water, apart from being so slow there was hardly any drama... the shot looked like something from SG-1 season 2.

Yeah I gotta say this episode definately reminds me why it's ending. It sorta gave me the "Night of the Living Dead" vibe.

I was actually hoping for all of this to be some ruse by Todd and was wating for the plot twist. Haha but I waited and waited, and nothing happened. Looks like they just wanted to have some resolution to the Todd plotline. Sadly, I could have come up with something a bit more exciting.

I just rewatched it tonight and realized that OH MY GOD, THEY KILLED KENNY!
Assuming that is still the hive that Todd was on at the end of The Queen, that is.
