I'm in New York. I've been in town for a week, on business. I was walking around, near the Williamsburg Bridge just before sunset, minding my own business and enjoying the je ne sais pas of the city. I noticed a lovely young woman walking by. She was wrapped from head to toe in winter clothing and carrying what appeared to be a full load of groceries and bore the most striking resemblance to a former lover of mine back in Paris.
Very fortunately for me, she said yes and we strolled along the path to the bridge for a few minutes when we reached the maximum vantage point to be able to witness the gorgeous sunset occurring before us.
Not wanting to miss the opportunity life and my new muse has offered me, I swept this beautiful mademoiselle in my arms and kissed her with the passion of a thousand burning suns, our two forms unified as one, silhouetted only by the cascading brilliance of the sunset beyond us.
Naturally, she kisses back. I ask her to meet me for coffee, and give her my number. She says "maybe." With one last adoring glance, I turn around and make my way returning to Manhattan.
So, I'm replaying the scene in my head deciding whether it's sexy or creepy. I'm still not sure, and wondering what others think: sexy or creepy?
Me: Avez-vous aller à l'université à Paris?
Her: I'm sorry, my French is really rusty, did you ask me if I went to school in Paris?"
Me: Oui.
Her: No, I'm sorry, you must be thinking of someone else.
Me: You look very much like someone I know. You are very beautiful, may I walk with you?
Her: All the way back to Brooklyn?
Me: I may never see you again, I'm in New York only a week.
Very fortunately for me, she said yes and we strolled along the path to the bridge for a few minutes when we reached the maximum vantage point to be able to witness the gorgeous sunset occurring before us.
Me: I'm here on business. Tell me, what is this key you wear around your neck? Have you ever been to Paris? This is my first time to Brooklyn; it is lovely.
Her: (laughs)
Me: Why are you laughing so much? May I kiss you?
Her: No. I don't know you.
Me: But we may never see eachother again.
Her: We're at the top of the bridge. Bijou bijou, and then you go to Manhattan and I go to Brooklyn.
Me: Very well. Bijou, bijou.
