Seven Of Nine's Maturity?

Thanks to Facebook Messenger's stalkerish abilities to tell me the last people have opened Facebook or have seen my messages, I no longer have to worry about someone going missing just because they haven't called or posted in a while. :D

That said, I remember back in the day before I used cell phones. I didn't get my first smartphone til 2009. I used to go off the grid quite a bit! :) When I was in college my mom constantly thought I was kidnapped.

If I went missing people would starve to death.

Or they would appreciate you more when you got back.

I saw a law thing, fiction, and to get around a prenuptual agreement in a divorce, the wife calculated how much she would have been paid if she had been a maid for her husband for the last 10 years, and sued for that instead as "unpaid wages".

Well we'll see, I am having a planned disappearance for two weeks in sept, the freezer is full of pies and frozen pizza for this event. I suppose to really induce gratitude I should leave with no frozen food purchased and no money left behind. Just a note..

"Feed the cat please."

This whole "Traumatized" thing which some of you banner about is wrong because she LOVED being Borg.

But isn't that utterly consistent with trauma survivors, that they come to rely/depend on their captors? Stockholm syndrome, and I don't mean that song by Muse.

Outland is so funny.

A couple of my mates are in that show. Shamefully, I've only watched the first episode :/

Where I live there is no "dating" in the american sense and the cost of housing is so exorbitant that when you meet someone, directly after sleeping with them you begin discussing who will move in with who based on how much money you could potentially be saving.

This is an exaggeration of course but people do move in VERY fast (to the detriment of the relationship) because it's so economically attractive.

Melbourne was picked as the "most liveable" city in the world recently! No wonder it's expensive. It sure is beautiful though! :)

It is the GREATEST CITY IN THE WORLD.

I live in that city Melbourne! It is pretty great. Especially today, the weather is lovely.

It is gorgeous. I just went for a bike ride in the sun. On Saturday I'm going to the beach and doing a beach hike from Saint Kilda to Port Melbourne which will be wonderful.

Also you should watch the rest of Outland!

I have my episodes of Outlland resting on the same DVD as 1/2 a season of The Bernie Mac Show.

:)

It's weird thinking that that Bernie Mac is dead.

I found episode one of Outland on Youtube very quickly.

Or does Tecake have to snailmail you DVDs?

Of course.

I thought Youtube was grey enough as not to bend his rules, but that's probably the limit of criminal behaviour we can force on the poor boy in good conscience.

Frankly, I don't understand why the characters are so narrowly classified as Australian gay science fiction weirdos. Weirdos, yeah I might want to watch something like that. Sci-fi weirdos, yeah, probably still. But gay sci-fi weirdos starts taking it in a direction I'm not sure I'd want to see, because I don't generally watch anything centered around gay characters (the last time was Brothers on Showtime during the 80s, and the character of Donald played up stereotypes for laughs). And then they're Australian on top of that? It's like they did their best to limit the potential audience.

uhh.. it is set in australia and the actors are australian so VOILA the characters are australian. It is an AUSTRALIAN show. You know, like how Yes Minister is british because it is set in britain and the actors are british and so VOILA the characters are british. Do you think that australians should just use americans and set their shows in america so we didn't "limit the potential audience"?

I'm not touching the gay stuff because I'm tired and I might get strident.

If you want a show about hundreds of Australians pretending that they are American, well that's Farscape. :)

Just watch the youtube.

There is nothing more graphic than kissing and that's not till the end, by which point you're invested and you want the star crossed lovers who have over some so much to be together to make the fuck out.

:)

Well there are people who don't like Star Trek because it's so Americanized. I think my real problem is the way Outland is being described, I would miss a lot of topical contemporary references.

It's true you will never get the 20 minutes back you invest in watching a youtube. It would be like draining 20 minutes of your life directly from your arm and flushing it down the toilet and watching it swirl backwards into an antipodean hell.
