Seven of Nine is back in ST: Picard

I suppose he could still be alive, but I doubt it.

"She just left him" is cheap, wishful thinking.

Isn't that explanation more realistic though than we usually see in shows like this? People drift apart, especially when they have major life changes like after they got home from the DQ. And Seven is basically emotionally an adolescent at that point who's never had any third option available to her besides Voyager, Borg drone, and abject loneliness. Now that she has the option to pursue any life she wants and be surrounded by supportive people, who knows what she will discover about herself, or whether Chakotay will want the same thing?

Hell, I bet Chakotay the moment he got back researched the fates of his Maquis friends and if any of them were still in Cardassian prisons somewhere tried to free them.

I don't see her holding anything from Scorpion against them. She is emotionally mature enough at this point to grasp the concept of self defense.

You guys don't even know the extreme stress and anxiety I feel about Star Trek: Picard coming out on January 23rd. I have 38 days to watch all of TNG, DS9, and every Star Trek Motion Picture so that I am properly versed...and maybe find some time for Enterprise and Discovery? I won't be able to leave my house for the next month XD! I am languishing in season 2 of TNG right now (and missing my TOS and Animated series...and Voyager most of all!).

Don't stress out over it. :)

This thread has TNG watch list recommendations based on what we currently know of Picard if you don't have time for the entire show.

The most complete list (I'd also add "Collective" and "Child's Play" from Voyager):

TNG Episodes

Best Of Both Worlds Parts 1 and 2
Family
Unification Parts 1 and 2
I, Borg
Decent Parts 1 and 2
All Good Things...
Star Trek Generations
Star Trek : First Contact
Star Trek Nemesis

Voyager Episodes

Unity
Scorpion Parts 1 and 2
The Gift
Dark Frontier Parts 1 and 2
Endgame

I still have to watch Nemesis. That's the only one I haven't seen.

LOL, I feel you. TNG is a bit of a slog compared to some of the other series (I agree on liking the 3 series you mentioned best). I think if you focus on the Borg-centric stuff in TNG you should have adequate background in the Picard prelim views without causing yourself to suffer unduly. I've only seen s1-3 of TNG plus the Borg eps, so we'll be in good company if we both get lost in Picard.

New Seven's promo still from ST: Picard:

19 years really changed our Seven, her who was always impeccably dressed (even if always dressed the same, only the color of her suit changed) now, she dresses "à la cool". That being said, I liked her tight and impeccable bun.

I like it. :techman:

They're redrawing her closer to a Marvel superhero. (Much more realistic, much more athletic. A lot less of the va-va-voom we had on Voyager. )

More mad skills, less T&A. ;) I'm looking forward to seeing Twin Gun Seven fight. :luvlove:

Twin Gun Seven reminded me of this scene from The Terminator:
