Seven of Nine is back in ST: Picard

Correct me if I'm wrong but if I remember well, I thought that Data was killed after to have decided to sacrifice himself in Star Trek: Nemesis, the last TNG-movie, right?

Have you seen the new trailer? Picard specifically mentions Data's sacrifice in the first few moments, so they are clearly going to address that.

Could tie it in by having Seven walking through a bad neighborhood to find Picard, stepping over a post-Fury Kes who is snorting Ketracel-white off the shiny green belly of Clint Howard's Orion character while she mutters something about "smaller than the quantum level" as they both sprawl out on the filthy low-pile capet of a 25th century street.

Well, that would be worthy a typical 2010's BS crap series.
But not Star Trek!

Do we know who in the original case would be on board for revival projects? I've read Russ and Wang for sure.
We have the recent buzz from Kate: she's "not sure," about reprising Janeway and that's totally fair.

Anyway, seeing Seven in the trailer was thrilling. This is going to considerably deepen the Voyager mythology! Very . Anyone else expecting Seven to make a offhand comment at some point about the 'clothes she used to wear?'
Since all the former Voyager cast members won't participate in Picard, I'm not that interested.
What do interest me is that we finally have a series which will bring us back to the 24th century again.
And extra points if Data returns! :techman:
I just really hope that the writers and producers of this series won't ruin it by turning it into another typical 2010's doom-and-gloom crap series.

I doubt the new show will require an intimate knowledge of Nemesis after all these years. ST:P will probably give enough exposition within the series itself for the viewer to understand what's going on.

I’d want to be up to speed about the Romulan stuff.

The 2009 movie should do that.
A superduperdupernova threatens to destroy the galaxy in 2387. Spock stops it, but not before Romulus is destroyed.
The Romulans in Picard take their look from Nero's gang in the '09 movie: No more bowl cuts or boxy shoulder pads from the series Romulans. Lots of black robes and jackets.

Those are Romulans in the trailer? I'm so glad they ditched the bumpy foreheads, although I really liked the Romulan uniforms used in later DS9 and Voy

Really? Well I've seen that.

Yep.
The first trailer talks about a historic rescue mission, I'm pretty sure Picard saved some Romulans prior to the supernova destroying their world. In a recent BTS interview Sir Patrick says there are two Romulans working at Picard's vineyard at the start of the show.

I liked the Nemesis/Enterprise Romulan uniforms. I'm pretty sure most of the Romulans we see are civilians though.
