Marsha Wallberg, the black lady ballif from Night Court had a comedy routine about comparing young men to old men, that Old men can hold out for longer and make it last longer... But think about it? (she said) Who wants to make love to an old guy for a really long time?

Well not with a really old man  but with a youngish good-looking guy of 40 it would be nice to have sex for a long time. Even having sex with a younger guy for a long time would be out of this world. You made me think about that

Not that it's particularly important, but I'm pretty sure the age gap between Crusher and Picard is 18/19 years. It's pretty well established in companion guides etc that she was born in 2324, and he in 2305.

Course, it depends on whether you privilege the companion guides/offscree background info or the mess that was Nemesis as canon. Nemesis suggests little or no age difference between them, since Beverly apparently somehow new Picard fresh out of the academy.

    O. Right. i totally got it backwards. She was 28 years older than Picard when he was regressed to prepubescence Rascals. I was half remembering the wrong ends of an old thread I started in TNG.

I just fininshed watching the entire 7 seasons of Voyager and I will admit I did enjoy Seven's character more this time around until I tried to watch the final episode- thinking maybe after all this time I could just ignore the Chakotay and Seven relationship but it's even worse this time around for me. It still seems so forced and ridiculous. It feels like a purpose spit in the fans face. It ruins the entire show for me. Why didn't the producers of the show think through this better. I bet a lot more would have bought the entire show on DVD if they had not pushed the seven/chakotay relationship on us. I know I would have. It was one of my favorite shows until then. I wish they could re-do the show with a better ending. Even if Chakotay and Janeway do end up getting together in the Voyager books-it still not the same.

 This assessment is not wrong and above, Seven is the only who showed openly some interest in him so,
he would be very silly not to take advantage of it, right?! That being said, a few people see them going beyond
a few weeks or even months so,....

    Look at McCoy.

MIdlife is your 80s or 90s.

Maybe Chakotay could look great for his middle age?
