Set blueprint exchange

ok, amazeballs news. Looks like treklandtrunk has a copy of the Enterprise-D Nacelle Tube plans from Season 7, "Eye of the Beholder".

What makes it even better are the _clear_ dimensions and as i previously mentioned, the rear half of this set eventually became part of Voyager's engineering, so that gives us a starting point for dimensioning up the Voyager sets too.

Amazing find! This will be a big help with the voyager engineering. I've added them to the both the TNG and Voyager flickr Albums.

I've just been working on drawing up the engineering voyager floor plans in sketchup - and here's a screenshot so far

Yea, I'm quite pleased with that, it pretty much closes the book on the TNG set blueprints now, we've got all the Starfleet sets with the exception of the Jefferies tubes (though the battle bridge blueprints could stand to be a higher res).

Plan looks good, seems fairly accurate, from what I can see. Did the Voy set ever have that link from the "former" engineer's office to the rest of the stage 9 corridor that the TNG one had?

The door connection was there on screen a few times (I think), but I don't recall anyone ever using it.

I've been working on drawing up a few more blueprints

These door plans just show the differences from standard door variant A (previously posted - https://www.flickr.com/photos/99878876@N02/15795485294). All door detail measurements are on standard door variant A

Lovely work, thanks! There truly are an insane number of inserts and cutouts on those corridor arches, it make the original TMP beams look quite plain in comparison!

Hey all. I managed to dig up my copy of the "Star Fleet Enginery 2188 - 2264" chart from 1990 by E. Gita Karlutsas. I apologize for the poor quality, I don't have a large enough piece of glass to flatten it, nor do I have a hi-res camera better than an iPhone, and it's too big to put on my scanner. In any case, here it is - a rare piece of Trek blueprinting history. Enjoy! Thanks to Mytran for reminding me where the original request came from.

Wow, how big is the original then?

In any case, the scan is large enough to read the text, and that's the important thing :)

About 30" x 24". Pretty much standard size for the old StarStation Aurora/MasterCom data sheets, although I can't tell if either of those two organizations were involved.

Those are by Todd Guenther and they were indeed sold by Mastercom/SSA.
Hi Arias! Long time no interface!

Thanks for the info. Question then, who is this "E. Gita Karlutsas" that this particular data sheet is attributed to? I didn't see any reference to MDC/SSA or Guenther anywhere in the credits area.

You coming up with any new designs again or are you still in something of a semi-retirement mode from all that?

Karlutsas was one of Todd's pen names. I think it was the only time he used it.

This sheet was taken from a two sheet set that Todd drew up for just the two of us to use so we'd be on the same page, design wise. It took one of Mike Morisette's nacelles and one of Todd's designs and put them with the series and two pilot configurations into a kind of technological chronology. The first SotSF and the Heavy Cruiser Evolution Plans dealt with how the heavy cruisers evolved in the 23rd century, so we needed to flesh out some of that stuff. I thought this rudimentary set (with no call outs or labeling beyond the PB numbers) was so cool I later suggested he share it with others.

I'm always thinking of stuff. Maybe. Who knows? I might get the bug again.

Are these new or do we have these already?

I think we have them already but i'm not sure. It seems to be a new listing. I think these are higher res though, i can see dimensions for the walls of sickbay and various props.

We have different pictures of the same items, but these new images have much clearer numbers. I've uploaded the new ones to the voyager flickr album

cool,

what i can see from the screenies is that the sickbay dr's door is 4' wide wtih what looks like 7" or 12" arches, if i read the blueprint right (the main sickbay door is wider).

but what i do like too is the visible details on the science lab, it shows how wide the corridor segments in the general stage 9 area are, so we now know the transporter room and science lab doors are (4'7" *2) from support beam to beam. that should help refine our dimensions a bit.
