Set blueprint exchange

That is a great find, with images of the doors you can use that to make several other sets as the doors were seen in DS9.

I've managed to go through the voyager sick bay set blueprint and figure out most of the numbers (using filters etc.)

The biolab section was designed for series 1, but not built. A lab section was added to sickbay in series 2, but differed substantially from the original design (so I didn't bother with these dims).

The blueprint is quite useful - it shows the corridor wall, the transporter room walls, and the distance from the corner of the stage. This could help with lining up the various elements.

Nice work, thanks! It's also worth mentioning that when they did get around to building the cut-down sickbay lab the location of the door was changed from that short corridor section to the adjacent longer section. It's quite obvious to see why; otherwise crew would have to take a sharp left every time they entered the room to avoid crashing into the Doctor's office wall!

Also, has anyone ever speculated what that ribbed connector is between the (proposed) lab circular area and the corresponding Sickbay one? It seems odd to design something that wouldn't be in shot, yet it's on the sketches anyway. Most curious...

I always took that part as a removable section for them to put in a camera.

Rewatching voyager season 7. Has anyone else noticed that aside from a shot in 'Lineage' where Paris goes to Harry's quarters, they never have the junior officers quarters shown? Did they remove it from the standing sets? For example when they show Tom and B'lanna's quarters as well as Nelix's quarters in the season it's the captain's quarters redressed.

Those quarters were regularly shown as Harrys (last time they saw it was when Tom was kicked out after fight with B'leanna in Season 7), and was usually shown as guest quarters too, such as with that security chick from the race you can't remember. They were also used as Suder's quarters/prison in season 3.

Don't think they were ever taken down as a permanent set, but maybe some walls were removed for scenes such as when they needed the hatch for the Jefferies tube open.

Having said that, they appear to have two lengths for the crawlway and they never showed the crawleway in depth when you saw people entering that hatch, so it wouldn't surprise me if that crawlway there was only about 3-4 feet long (for the camera) and they were just jumping out of the set where the TNG-era sonic shower used to be.

Yes, there were two lengths of tube which (I suspect) were joined to the 3 tier junction room. That allows for the side panels to be removed for filming crawling scenes, as well as crew entering/exiting the tube from the vertical section (combined with the forced perspective backdrop painting).

Regarding the access doors in the main corridor (as well as the hatch in sickbay) a shorter section was likely used, just big enough to give the actors something to interact with realistically.

trekland trunk seem to have a lot of blueprints, pity they're only trickling them out.

I must admit I had never given the Turbolift controls that much thought, but they look great!

On that ebay page, both images have the '86 date on them (ST IV). I think he uploaded the wrong images to the ebay page by accident.
