Series 11 News & Spoilers

I know that some fans are excited about the scarves, but I'm more excited that Team TARDIS still numbers 4. I really feel like I could watch this quartet for three years or more.
I feel the same way about the TARDIS team. I still worry, based on the New Year's special synopsis, that we won't continue to see them in series 12 but I really hope we do.

Chibnall seems to be going for a more child friendly DW. If that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if he kept the team alive and around. I guess the guy who plays Graham is somewhat well known in the UK, so there might be contractual issues I suppose. But, it seems like given the tone, he'd have the motivation to keep them together.

At the very least, I hope so! The team has been the best aspect of the show overall.

I honestly don't know. It might depend upon the "reception" it gets when the special airs. I mean, the showrunners might intend for it to be just for the one episode (again, I have no idea), but if the viewers rave about it, the creators may decide, "what the 'ell, let's keep it!"

Of course, if they do keep it, suddenly the figures, statuettes and dolls already released (and soon to be released) will be arguably "out of date", representing just Jodie's first year. A doll with a fabric outfit will be easier to update, just adding a strip of rainbow striped cloth to a second run, but an injection molded action figure like the 5.5 inch version would require new tooling for the added accessory. Paris Cub on Gallifrey Base can explain all the complications and hurdles something like that requires.

Killer scarfs!

The ghost monument alien creations sort of beat you to it.

Although killer scarfs sounds like a RTD's idea.

She really looks great her. She's in her element. She's the Doctor now

-Long coat
-Funny looking clothing accessory
-Sonic Screw driver

It's odd how my feelings towards her outfit have shifted. At first I really liked the coat and didn't like the rest, not if it was up to me I'd ditch the coat whenever possible, it's just too manufactured, it doesn't look like something she found in a charity shop it looks like something especially made for the part (especially the hood designed to make it look like a robe), like the shift to costumes in the classic series ala late Tom onwards. It's shame as I think for the most part I've really liked most modern Doctor outfits (with the exception of Matt's Victorian look late on for the same reason, it looked like a costume) also the colour's a bit wishy washy for me. The scarf does help, even though they are overdoing the rainbow motif now!

So, rummaging about the net today, there are rumours Chibbers and Whittaker are leaving, BUT the rumours are originating with Outpost Skaro, which has been so-so in the past. Anyway, your take?

Also, Chibs is supposed to be complaining that it's too hard to come up with good stories to produce. I would profoundly disagree in that I know many of you would have stuff that could be rolled outr pretty quickly. I have a scrip based on the Wirrrn sitting on my PC right now (it would need an update, obviously, but not that hard). so what am I missing? Manangement interference? Why can't they just let them get on with it?

What have you heard? What's your take?
