Series 11 News & Spoilers

Speaking of merchandising, what happened to Character Options? I know they mishandled the license really badly towards the end (not making figures people wanted and did batshit pegwarmers instead, doing the ugly 3" figures in hopes to get the Star Wars crowd)

My understanding is CO still have the license, but their partnership with Underground Toys (their American distributor) ended when UT rebranded as... Seven20? (Seven something? I forget.) Now, Seven20 has a separate license exclusively for the US for toys. Which lead to there being two Thirteenth Doctor sonics released at the same time in the US and UK. I bought both out of curiosity over the differences and found that CO's initial effort was somewhat small and lacking for features. The US version was bigger, had better detailing and weathering painting AND the crystal not only lit up but twirled around. I now hear CO is making a second version closer to the US version.

I've also seen some snaps of a CO Thirteenth Doctor action figure. Not bad, but it has a weird face that looks a lot like Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse with Rogue's hair than it does Jodie. Rathe plan packaging - new logo, TARDIS design on a traditional action figure blister pack.

CO did produce the 12" Jodie "doll" that came out for SDCC this summer.

“You’re not allowed to form an opinion until the entire thing has aired!”

Wow... that was like 200 posts ago... But, sure... Except, that's not what I was saying... The person I was replying to said, "Bring back the bombast, a little."

To which I replied, "series isn't over yet." As in... maybe it's coming. Maybe there will be bombast. As in, maybe you will get exactly what you are asking for.

Thanks for playing, though.

That's his first post in nearly three weeks, around the time you made that post. Maybe it took that long for the post to go through?

A clearer look of the scarf as well as the synopsis for the New Year's special:

As the New Year begins, a terrifying evil is stirring, from across the centuries of Earth’s history. As the Doctor, Ryan, Graham and Yaz return home, will they be able to overcome the threat to planet Earth

No way a "prediction" on my part as there are more elements different than alike. This is merely something I thought might look interesting before we saw the genuine ensemble "reveal".

I suspect her scarf will only appear in the one episode, but I certainly would not object to keeping it as a permanent accessory.
