I think it's simply because people don't know how to spell it. As for any conflict over people's reactions I would just mark it off as a misunderstanding that comes from talking via posts instead of face to face.

Well, to be fair, most movies these days don't do opening credits, so I guess I shouldn't expect someone to stay to see actor names. Although, he was in a Marvel movie, and everyone watches those end credits.

I personally could actually count on one hand the amount of things i had seen him in before Who, Cracker and two movies, Hillsborough and Let him have it, but apart from that i had never seen him in anything else, a bit like Stewart, i remembered his face from Dune and Lifeforce before he was in TNG, and that is it, yet when you check their credits they have been making stuff for years, so funny that is all i can remember them being in. lol
