While he's hauled away as garbage?I’m sure Korax would approve.

Yes, and it is understandable that some in Starfleet - I suspect people like admiral Ross - would want a competent organisation that can actually do things, rather than the constantly infiltrated joke that is Starfleet Security. S31 may be a worthy adversary for the Tal Shiar and the Founders, Starfleet Intelligence isn't.Admiral Ross knew about them. They have moles within the organization as Bashir was able to trick Sloan to coming to the station by sending a false report to Starfleet Medical.
Sloan was able to pose as a Fleet Captain, and as whoever he was in 'Inter Arma', so they're well organized
And there this Exchange from "Inter Arma" as well
SISKO: That was my instinct as well, but after talking to Ross I think we might have an opportunity here we can turn to our advantage. Officially, Starfleet Command has said that they are appalled at the very notion that an organisation like Section Thirty one might exist, and that they plan to get to the bottom of this entire business.
BASHIR: And unofficially?
SISKO: They have quietly pushed the investigation aside, which means either they don't take Section Thirty one seriously or someone at Starfleet Command is protecting them. Either way, we now have a chance to get someone inside and I think I want to take it.
And Sisko might be against them, but he has no problem using his own private intelligence and assasination agent in the form of Garak.
Commonly known as "black ops" which Starfleet has employed multiple times in the past.Yes, and it is understandable that some in Starfleet - I suspect people like admiral Ross - would want a competent organisation that can actually do things, rather than the constantly infiltrated joke that is Starfleet Security. And I think that's an entirely valid question that invites a measure of drama that would be interesting and, dare I say it ("Dare, dare"*) dramatic for a Star Trek story to explore. The question is if Section 31 is really needed.
Another thing, so far I didn't see likable persons in Section 31 (with exception of some crew members they hired from the Enterprise or DS9) Maybe you have to be some a..hole to work there.![]()
I need to see the whole phaser lmao. I will watch the movie just to see if there's any regular starfleet stuff.
I'm not sure if they revealed any species except for the character on letter C being a Chameloid.Bald lady a Deltan?
Blond tips a Romulan?
I forget.
Yeah, it was the first thing I noticed. It seems very correct for the era. That, mixed with a few other things like the computer screens in the trailer from San Diego, makes me think we may be pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the Lost era. I'll bet right now that we do see a Monster Maroon in this film, plus at least one previously established Starship design.I need to see the whole phaser lmao. I will watch the movie just to see if there's any regular starfleet stuff.
