Why is everybody assuming this will be American-centric? Maybe they will make good use of the shooting location for once and make the story Canadian-centric! I can't think of much significant Canadian presence in Trek since Eddington. It's been sorely lacking.

The shows have been overflowing with Canadian representation. What more could be asked of the franchise.![]()
That's kind of neat. If only it came in Canadian colors of the state flag.
Aside from a single Rivera, the names on those tombstones are depressingly anglo.
Like, more anglo than the vast majority of Americans I have known.
Edit: Blowing it up, there's a Perez too. So just Anglo-saxons and Latinos? Nobody else? Damn.
I would say a good deal of Vulcan lore in Trek is religious. Not in a theistic capacity but then religion does not inherently require deities (such as the Jain religion). The Kirshara Enterprise arc is very religiousA good chunk of all of "DS9,"

It was, although you can sometimes call it simply alien exotic thinking for the sake of it. Problem with fictious religious systems is that like with many things, writer can do whatever, but it might be well used for allegory. I don´t know how much will Disco mention authentical Earth beliefs no matter how ancient, which might be interesting.I would say a good deal of Vulcan lore in Trek is religious. Yet, the phrase “Glory to the first saved” would make no sense from a mainstream Christian worldview.
I would be interested to read some specific examples of this. Although it may be better to PM me as I am sure others here don't not want this thread to turn into a religious forum.A good deal of modern Christianity would make little to no sense to a Christian of late-antiquity. Some of it would be bizarre to a theologian from 200 years ago.
Will it be religion or a cult?
Size?What's the difference?
Isn't that pretty much what she looked like at the end of Search For Spock?
