Complain away. Don't expect all fans to agree or to find constant negativity to be just accepted with no comment. So basically if i want to review, analyze or talk about a show here i need to like it and give a positive review? Many star trek fans such as myself who have helped keep the franchise going for years don't like to see it debased. If we voice our concerns someone may make changes. Some of these producers might even look at these boards to see peoples reactions. To say we have no right to complain or say how we feel about a show or movie is ridiculous.
"Completely telegraphed." Really? I seem to recall when the first season was airing and the rest of us were predicting Lorca was from the MU, you were the one arguing he "clearly wasn't." But now it was "completely telegraphed"?
Regardless, when the reveal was made Lorca was indeed written differently and he lost all subtlety he previously had.

What is it with you and reminding people how long you’ve been a fan? No one is stopping you from being negative but that part really grinds my gears. You understand you’re not speaking for a uniform crowd of older fans who all dislike the newer fare, right? I just need to make sure. We have folks here well into their fifties and sixties who don’t share that opinion.
I'm a new fan, only been watching for the last 31 years - that's barely more than half of Trek's age, but I still love the new stuff, give me more more more!
Irrelevant. After the lengths you went to while the first season was airing telling everyone who predicted Lorca was from the MU they were wrong, you don't get to claim four years later that it was "completely telegraphed."Rewatching the first season numerous times has wizened me to the signs that were there but that I didn't see the first time.

I belong to the club of fan which got the AMT model of the TOS Enterprise as a child. But I suspect it was actually the Constellation because the damn nacelles didn't line up properly! I don't blame the builder... Could have used detached nacelles in those kits for less aggravation.
Was it the blue plastic one?

You're missing the point. Of course Lorca's origin was completely telegraphed, we all saw it almost right away. You were the one who argued with us back in 2017 claiming we were the wrong ones. You have to own that. You don't get to come in after the fact and talk down to people who feel a certain way about it and tell them it was telegraphed when you were literally the only person who didn't see it coming before hand. Having an epiphany on rewatches doesn't change what you posted before the reveal happened. You want me to admit I was wrong, and yet reject that admission when I do.
And I'm not " claiming" anything when I say that Lorca's true nature was completely telegraphed; I'm making a statement of fact.
