I’m pretty sure she killed him of her own free will. Which was then retconned in season 2.

I'm pretty sure if you receive insanity inducing visions and commands from a mind meld free will isn't quite the same any more.

That’s not how I interpret her actions.

It's only one year between Season 2 and 3 according to Terry.

Not a retcon, she was clearly influenced by Oh's mind meld.

So? She knew what she was doing and could have stopped herself at any time. She chose to kill Maddox because of how she felt about him. Oh didn’t force her to do it. And when Picard confronted her about it, she didn’t excuse her actions by saying she was under any influence.

He's really trying to make sure folks don't get their hopes up over Tasha. XD

"It's like a whole new show!" Yes, yes. We know. Each showrunner for this series wants to acknowledge the previous season as little as possible. Though I can't be too salty about it this time given how janky most of S2 was. :nyah:

Terry was showrunner for most of Season 2 :p

I think she’s going to appear as a hologram, maybe the one Data had.

    I stand by what I said. :D

And yeah, I suspect it's going to be a little memorial holo or the SF equivalent of the wall of heroes.

I was rewatching the video Doug Drexler put out of the 'Stargazer bridge' (which we now know was in the Titan redress when this was recorded)

And I noticed that Dave Blass clearly says 'if we didn't have to turn this whole scenario over in two weeks from one ship to another ship'.

It was right under our noses that this wasn't the Stargazer bridge anymore. I think Doug posted this video before Terry said the Stargazer wasn't in Season 3. I could be mistaken.

Also here is the uncensored Titan LCARS picture again

It's crazy how much this looks like it would visually fit in with the TNG Movies. I'm impressed. They've outdone themselves. Except for the cast looking older, I could go from First Contact to this without thinking anything was off.

The end of Nemesis and the beginning of PIC S1E1 also fit really well together

I can't help but think of the Orville with that shade of blue light on the railings.

Not clearly at all . If that's what the producers wanted to convey, then they did a poor job at doing it . Myself and some others I know who watch the show, also thought she was acting on her free will. Maybe nudged by the meld but clearly she was feeling remorse signaling she performed a necessary evil in her eyes.. You may disagree, fine . But the mere fact this comes up as often as it does clearly shows the writers at the very least, partually failed at convincing the audience she was being controlled by the meld.

Stupid writers and their stupid stupid stupidness.

Haven't said that in a while. Feels good.

More seriously, I don't think controlled so much as a mind meld induced schizophrenia. Poor analogy but was my impression.

How interesting that Oh's meld so specifically induced quasi
schizophrenia to perform the targeted and calculated act of Killing Maddox and then cover it up.
