Someone pointed it out on Twitter before and I've never been able to forget it.

'Expat' kind of just drips with bourgeois-ness when I hear it. The single mom crossing the boarder to escape violence caused by US foreign policy is NEVER called an 'expat'.

From a naming standpoint, it’s still somewhat nonsensical. It’s like saying here’s chapter 2, part 1 and chapter 2, part 2, or saying chapter 2 has two chapters itself. Having part 1 & 2 story makes more sense in an episodic context where not every episode continues the specific narrative of the preceding installment.

Meh. Worked for the Harry Potter films.

I ninety percent agree, but while working on a story that has that difference as its fulcrum, I came to the conclusion is that an expat doesn’t integrate into the new culture. They inhabit what becomes an exclave. Which is, of course, something that happens with ‘immigrants’ and is generally seen as a bad thing by precisely the sort of person who would call themselves an expat should they move. There is the whiff of ‘exile’ to it as well. It’s certainly an increasingly loaded term in the modern era.

I'm not going to suggest that this negates the list of episode titles we have but it might not be 100% accurate. Whether it was at one point in time is completely feasible. It could be that the second episode was renamed after that list was posted, but now it would seem "That Hope is You" is a two-parter.

The list has one of the Season 2 episodes wrong, so it is entirely possible they changed at one point.

Heh, I actually came in here to bring this up. Glad to see y'all were already chattering about it. It's interesting. I look forward to learning what that mysterious third episode is called.
