If I'm not mistaken, the shot in the "This season on Star Trek Discovery" trailer of Tilly and someone else standing among the spore garden with a starship hull coming toward them depicts May. If so, one of a few things might be true:

1. That scene takes place in this episode. Easy enough.
   
2. That scene doesn't take place in this episode. Given that we know Stamets pulls that writhing mass out of Tilly in this one, that might mean that May is distinct from the mass.
3. May is actually restored to full, real being...and sticks around.
