The Falcon, how we see her in ANH compared to Solo could be from Han's modifications, or the Falcon in the Solo movie could be from Lando's modifications. We'll have to wait and see.
Spoiler An alleged Lego Stormtrooper from the movie (it's a new design) https://i.redd.it/xzcrphev33801.jpg Mind you not everything lego makes shows up in the films, there was that Lego TLJ Heavy Scout Walker that never showed up (although it was mentioned in the Visual Dictionary) Reminds me of this http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Navy_commando
So, box art has leaked for the movie's Lego sets, and uh it uses that supposedly fake key art in the corner.
I am not confident that actors other than Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams can pull of Han Solo and Lando Calrrision to my satisfaction, but I will reserve judgment until I see a trailer.
Someone would have to have recreated that key art Falcon in Lego, along with Han's speeder which has only been seen in set spying footage (I think). Plus I think this is the guy who leaked previous sets that were real.
Finally a design of the Falcon that makes sense to me and is appealing. Yes, I know I'm in the minority of not liking the Falcon's look.
Well according to the lore, the Cockpit is on the side because the centre piece is for pushing cargo.
So, once again the leaked "not official" artwork is official artwork... Spoiler Reminds me of the leaked "not official" Klingon ships concept art and the leaked "not real" Klingons-lunch-break photo.
Oh cool, we're going to learn what happened to that little bit between the prongs on the Falcon! I can't wait.
The Haynes Millennium Falcon owners manual shows a variant that looks a lot like that, including the filled in gap. I wonder if they were inspired by that book.
It’s probably just something Lando did, I don’t see the problem. Lando has his own personal modifications, Han has his. Obviously that is speculation on my part.
I always figured a cargo pod would "plug" into that centre section. Just a matter of what the pod looks like.
