Scream Queens

Especially Grace. First yes/no to killing Dean Munsch, and then changing her mind about having sex with Pete so quickly?

Weird.

It's sad to know that there are only two episodes left:( They should space them out instead of cramming them into one night.

I agree. I don't really like the two episodes in one night deal. Of course, I don't watch them in real time anyway....

Bah, that ending stank.

Especially since the odds are there won't be a second season and we got a cliche cliffhanger when we were so close to completed series. Even if it was lamely completed.

Agreed. I freaking hate when writers fall in love with their own characters, and methinks that's exactly what ended up happening with that finale.

If you're too squeamish to kill off main characters, don't try to write a damn slasher.

Oh, and parts of the reveal didn't make sense with what had already been established. Big shock.

I was very underwhelmed. The stuff about who the twin sister was, and her journey was pretty interesting though. Seeing how twisted and insane she had become.

I do feel bad for the Chanels though. Sure they were horrible self-centred stupid people but I don't think they deserved it.

Overall it just wasn't a good finale, which is a shame because it started off on a high.

I won't be able to watch until tomorrow, but this doesn't sound encouraging.

Yeah. Like with nearly every AHS finale, it seems to have its pretty even split of lovers and haters.

For what it's worth, I wasn't mad or anything. I just found the whole double ep to be a bit of a damp squib, as opposed to going out with a bang.

I just found it disappointing. I didn't like how things were wrapped up. I would have preferred it if Grace actually had an evil twin sister who impersonated her throughout the season.

If there is a second season I will probably still watch it.

This show is an Anthology, like American Horror?

Or are we looking at a shared universe dealio where the campus is the real star?

^^ They said it's intended to be like AHS, but I don't know if ratings are good enough to get it renewed. I think it's about the same as Sleepy Hollow.

I won't be able to watch until tomorrow, but this doesn't sound encouraging.

Don't let our reviews influence you. You might like it.
I've seen the first of the two and I like it so far. Lots of interesting revelations and developments-- especially regarding Pete. And the former Kappa president and current Toxic Avenger has apparently been ruled out.

Indeed! That was quite a freaky Norman-Bates coming out party for Pete at the beginning of the first episode. It seemed that these last two episodes, especially the first of them, had a lot less comedy and a lot more real drama, than the rest of the series. In some cases, it almost felt like they tacked on some satirical dialogue because they thought they had to, and it didn't really fit. I did like these episodes, but I think I understand why some people felt let down-- I think it was because there was a feeling of anticlimax because of the structure. There was a ton of exposition (luckily they used a lot of actual flashbacks with the dialogue) spread out over two episodes, and then there was a lot of where-are-they-now scenes afterwards. Basically, the entire series was structured like a slasher movie, but spread out over thirteen hours, so it kind of felt like listening to a 75rpm record played at 33 1/3.

I liked it, though. I joked at the beginning that everybody would be a killer, and that almost turned out to be true, but I'm glad Hester turned out to be the main Red Devil. She was my favorite of the Scream Queens (if you don't count Gigi as a Scream Queen). It was all very complex, but the explanations seemed to hang together well. And there were still some hilarious moments among the long-winded exposition, such as bringing in the Chanels' parents and the goodbye scene between Chad and Denise. And, of course, the slo-mo arrest of the Chanels by the male strippers. :D

All in all, I think it was a great season. I hope we get more, but I'm kind of pessimistic.

Hester wasn't the main Red Devil, Boone was. He was the one who did most of the killing.

Wish they explained who killed Gigi and why...

...And why they let her keep the twins in the Institution.

It was Hester who killed Gigi.

I was also confused about why they let Hester and Boone grow up in an asylum. In hindsight, it would have been better if they had gone into foster care.

Well, seeing how utterly incompetent the police were odds are social services were just as lousy. Though I'm guessing that Gigi's family must have been rich for Gigi to have had the money necessary for the whole revenge scheme.
