Scream Queens

Which begs the question: why didn't Gigi's family take the babies? How can a mentally unstable person be fit to raise children?

Was Gigi committed by someone, or was she self-admitted? If she was self-admitted (which explains how she got OUT of the Institution so easily), and her family was as nasty as Kappa parents tend to be (like the Chanels) then they probably just left the two bastard kids they weren't happy about there with her and she used the "I'm only here because I want to be, I can leave whenever I want." thing to keep them with her.

Social Services being useless, figured it was a reasonable request and it kept them from actually doing any real work.

I don't remember if it was mentioned but from what you say about her getting out so easily, then she probably was self-admitted.

I just took the babies in the asylum to be part of the general ludicrousness, like the stripper cops.

Hester wasn't the main Red Devil, Boone was. He was the one who did most of the killing.
Er, well... co-main Red Devil then. :rommie:

The stripper cop scene was hilarious!

Hester was the Brains while Boone was the Muscle.

If there is a second season, it will be set at a summer camp.

I couldn't believe Hester got away with everything. Dean Munsch knew what she did, but of course, she also kept a secret that Hester could use against her. I didn't think it was necessary for her (RD/Hester) to kill Chanel Oberlin once she and the others were already in the asylum; that should've been enough to punish all the Chanels for the murders they didn't commit.

Yeah, I just saw that as an homage to the standard "shock" ending of the slasher movies. It could have been anybody in that costume, and they probably never gave any thought to who it was or intended to ever follow up on it.

I really think it was Hester. Besides, the other usual suspects were already dead: Gigi, Boone, Pete. An exception would be a copycat killer.

I've been hearing about various renewal announcements, so it probably won't be long before we know if there's a second season or not.

I don't think it's going to be renewed. Viewership declined pretty steadily. They really did try to stretch a movie into 13 episodes somehow.

I know that the numbers weren't that great but Fox could still renew it because of their longstanding relationship with Ryan Murphy.

From what I understand, the ratings were about the same as Sleepy Hollow and I don't really expect SH to be back. The only difference is that it's newer, so they may be optimistic that they bring in better numbers for a second season. And if there's a relationship with Ryan Murphy, that could help. I'm not really optimistic, though.

I guess it's up to me to be the resident Pollyanna on this thread then.

I'll just be sitting in the corner, with my legs and fingers crossed.
