Can't beat Brivari or hot Jala from B5, recipes for which are in the book Dining On Babylon 5. The wife and I have distributed those at conventions for many years...

Yes, you'll want to check this out in detail. I'm sure it would make for a surprising result for the research. Tanktonese in Alien Nation got drunk on fermented (spoiled) milk.
