Cliffhangers.
Loved this one. Especially the Dracula segment.
Cliffhangers.
I remember seeing this, don't recall the name. If I remember correctly, the main body of the suit was a one piece orange rigid armor and the arms and legs looked pretty much like ducting used for clothes dryers. I want to say it has the word Omega in the title, but I can't be sure.
Yes that is it! Anyone able to name it?
I loved John Doe. The producers were promised enough time to wrap up the show if it were facing cancellation, but they never got a heads up and it was cancelled anyway. Fortunately you can find some answers to the show's questions if you look around.I think I'm the only one who watched John Doe though...
SourceDue to the series' cancellation, the final episode ended with an unresolved cliffhanger, revealing that Digger, John's close friend, was in fact the true leader of the Phoenix Organization. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creators Brandon Camp and Mike Thompson revealed what would have happened and John Doe's true identity.
"Make that someone who looked like John's friend. The villain unmasked in the finale was actually just a Phoenix member with some fancy facial reconstruction. Turns out, the Phoenix believed Doe was the Messiah and its members were actually protecting Doe from a second group, which wanted him dead. The truth: Doe was injured in a boating accident. That mark on his chest? A scar left by a piece of shrapnel from the explosion. His Überbrain? A by-product of transcending his body during a near-death experience, traveling to a spiritual plane where all the universe's questions are answered."
One of my favorite shows of all time.Pretty sure a couple of you have seen "Being Erica", but its still worth a mention.![]()
^Was that before or after the scene from Weird Al's UHF?

You mean the Dewey Decimal System, right? If we're talking about libraries?
I've never seen UHF.
Thriller was a little before my time, but I did see Starlost in first run.^ I should have mentioned I saw all but Supercar and Stingray in first run. And not sure Starlost counts, as all 3 were syndicated in U.S.
I meant to comment on that, too. I loved Cliffhangers (not surprising, since I love the old serials). I wish somebody would try the idea again. The original only failed because it was on NBC, and pretty much everything failed on NBC in those days.Cliffhangers.
Loved this one. Especially the Dracula segment.
And the mommies complained about Katy Perry.Best scene in the PBS pilot: a library patron asks Conan where he can find Little Women. Conan's response?
"Tis said that in the fleshpots of fabled Shadizar there are Zamoran wenches no more than three feet tall . . . ."
How about Space Patrol? Probably unknown in the US, but a cult classic overseas. There's only seven episodes. A friend of mine in Germany sent them to me, but they're all in German. They look fantastic, though.
