Sci-fi movies involving spaceships or time travel?

ReadyAndWilling

Fleet Captain
hey guys, i was just re-watching lost in space and unlike, perhaps, everyone on this forum, i enjoyed it.

i was wanting to know if there are any other movies that involve ships where we see the bridge where officers are following orders or some type of command structure being carried out?

the other question, was if there are any movies involving time travel where people are sent back to the 1950's and earlier? i'm not talking about the type of time travel we saw in 'Lost in Space', it's just a coincidence that it had an element of time travel.

i remember a movie or tv show where a guy from the future goes back in time, pre 19th century and goes back with a futuristic car that has its own onboard computer. does anyone know the film i'm talking about? Christopher might know.

Uh... you're on a Star Trek board.

That sounds like Roger Corman's FRANKENSTEIN UNBOUND, loosely based on the novel by Brian Aldiss.

Did he run into Mary Shelley?

Forbidden Planet is the classic here, pretty much.

Star Wars. Battlestar Galactica. Serenity. Babylon 5. 2001. 2010. Apollo 13. Battle Beyond the Stars. Dark Star. Wing Commander. Space Battleship Yamato. Galaxy Quest. Spaceballs. The Angry Red Planet. The Black Hole. Event Horizon. Galaxina. The Last Starfighter.

These all meet your requirements as stated. You see the bridge, officers are following orders, and some sort of command structure is being carried out.

Seriously, you're not familiar with any of them?

Ships & bridges: Starship Troopers, Pandorum

Time travel: The Final Countdown

The Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy should meet mostof your criteria although the movies do not have a dub so you would have to be willing to read subtitles. The trilogy features plenty of mecha combat, space battles and plenty of orders given out by the anime equivalent of Jim Kirk captain Bright Noa. :techman:

Speaking of which I recently finished Raumpatrouille, which would require either subtitles or a working comprehension of German to view but is definitely worth a look.
