Say it..DAMMIT!!!

My friend and I love to quote lines from movies, and then guess where they came from. What are some of TREK's greatest quotes? I actually believe TREK has the most famous ONE WORD movie quote of all time..you guessed it..

KAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHN!!!

But there are famous quotes from TREK we Trek fans could recount, and I don't just mean BEAM ME UP or LIVE LONG AND PROSPER...what are some of your quotes from STAR TREK(s) past?

Mathew Weer lives!!!

There are quite a few.
Some of my favorites that come to mind:

"We all have to take a chance. Especially if one is all you get."

"There are a million things you can have in this galaxy, and a million things you can't."

"You're angry when you're beautiful."

"Eat any good books lately?"

"Computers make excellent servants, but I have no desire to serve under one."

I'll stop there because there are so many! (Sorry if I got any a little wrong. You get the idea.)

Some of mine

"Its life Jake; you're gonna miss unless you stick your head up and take a look around " (something like that)

I think GENERATIONS has some of the best quotes of all TREKs. And most come from Tolian Soran..

"Time is the fire in which we burn."

"Death, its like a predator, stalking us..."

Captain Kirk has many....
"My son, my life that could have been...but wasn't"
"Double Dumbass on you!"

Rob

Good question Robertscorpio and *hi*!

So many, how to choose?

"You are my superior officer. You are also my friend. I have been and always shall be yours." Spock to Kirk. "Wrath Of Khan."

TOS: "By golly, Jim... I'm beginning to think I can cure a rainy day!" -- McCoy (The Devil in the Dark)

Next Gen:
"If you prick me, do I not... leak?" -- Data (The Naked Now)

"Legends...are the spice of the universe, Mr. Data, because they have a way of sometimes coming true" -- Captain Picard (Haven)

DS9: "There's an old saying, Fortune favors the bold. Well, I guess we're about to find out." -- Sisko (Sacrifice of Angels)

Voyager:

"You're on your way to being normal -- although I'm not sure how normal applies to a species who suppress all their emotions" -- The Doctor (Meld)

"Facial art... ooh, how... wilderness of you!" -- Q re Chakotay (Death Wish)

"By Golly, Jim, I'm beggining to think I can cure a rainy day!"

"Assimilate this!"

"Sir, we've lost power to shields and our weapons are gone!"
"Then perhaps today is a good day to die! Prepare for ramming speed!"

"...And you know what makes it worse? I can live with it. I can live with it..."

"It's a faaaaaaaaake!!"

"...and women wore less!"
"I think I'm going to like the twenty-third century!"

"Target the centre of that explosion and FIRE!"

Dang, my friends and I have been doing this since 1966!

"I wanna STAYYYY (stayy stayy stayy)."

"...until you are dead, dead, DEAD!"

"No blahblahblah!"

"Is there some significance to this action?"

"There is a multi-legged creature crawling on your shoulder."

"Is this a good thing, Miri?"

"You will all die!" (in Melvin Belli's voice)

"My ship! MY ship!!"

"too bad. It would be glorious!"

And of course, "He's dead, Jim."

KAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHN!!!
I dunno, I think "Rosebud" from Citizen Kane and Marlon Brando shouting "STELLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" in A Streetcar Named Desire would be equally good contenders for that title.

Maybe; maybe not. Based on how today's kids seem to know nothing about history, I think Khan might give those two a run for the money...

Well, if we're going on the short-term memory of "today's kids," Khan is just as much a part of ancient history as Kane and Streetcar. Perhaps Darth Vader's "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" at the end of Revenge of the Sith...

“I'm attempting to construct a pneumonic memory circuit using stone knives and bear skins.”

"He knows Doctor, he knows."

"Let's get the hell out of here."

Gotta agree with Biggles here. I think the Star Trek quote is very well known in scifi circles...and perhaps to some people who don't care at all about scifi...but I think "Rosebud" and "Stellaaaa!" are more well known by a larger cross-section of people.
