Oh, dear God I love these things.

And only 16 come in a box. I could eat an entire box in one sitting.

These are too good. They're crack. There's Girl Scout selling cookies in my store on the weekends. I hope they're there this weekend, I need to buy more boxes of these things.

I'm addicted!

So toasty, so caramel-y.

Ohhhhhh.

We always order at least one box each year. And each year my wife makes me take them to work - she knows I don't like coconut - then bring her home one every other day or so. She can go through a box of them frighteningly fast.

Didn't the PC police rename them recently to something else?

They've been named "Caramel DeLites" for a few years, but I think most know them as "Samoas."

I think the name they're called also depends on the region you are in.

I've read articles recently that say they're making the cookies slightly smaller and putting less in each box in order to maintain the price. Has anyone noticed this?

assume that would be why there was only 16 instead of 20. 4 rows of 4 rather than 4 rows of 5 like there usually are...

You know Edy's makes a Samos ice cream.

Though I loathe coconut so give me the thin mints any day of the week.

I don't normally like coconut at all either, but something about the way it works into the Samoa is tasty. I'm glad I managed to avoid cookies this year even though I had several opportunities. Also likes me some Shortbread Trefoils. :techman:

Coconut is gross. Peanut Butter is good. Ergo, Tagalongs > Samoas.

I haven't seen a box of girl scout cookies for a decade. :(

The caramel are my favorite. The girl's troop had to sell some them outside a couple weeks ago and my wife bought some. She means well. But I try to take it easy on the cookies. Between us the 2 boxes barely lasted the day.

The people at work were practically fighting over ordering cookies. And there are 3 of us dads who brought the order sheets in. We all did well. Between work and what my wife sold we did a couple hundred boxes. People just love these. The girl scouts only make 50 cents on a box.

I like the ones with the coconut & chocolate, dont know what theyre called. I havent been able to buy any for years. :(

Pepridge Farm's Tahitis taste somewhat similar but theyre not the same...

Years and years ago I paid for my Girl Scout cookies with a check... And over time I lost touch with that bank via several moves and such... changed accounts a couple of times to get a better rate and all that.

So I'm sitting in my apartment in Webster NY and the cops bang on the door. They want in, they have a warrant seems I wrote a bad check. They take me in, finger-print me process me and let me out under the threat of "ya'll come back soon or else."

Hearing date arrives I show up.... Girl Scouts Of America Vs. Brian "Bad Check Bastard" Richard.

Teh fuck?

Judge shuffles his papers, reads them. Puts his glasses on and squints and says to the prosecution "you are aware this check is 15 years old, right?"

To which the Prosecution Dood says "wait, what?"

Judge says "Statue Of Limitations has long since expired on this, case dismissed. Next time verify the date before wasting my time."

...bunch of apple-cheeked bitchetts that's what the Girl Scouts are. They sat on an uncashed check for a decade and a half and tried to make good on it.

As much as I like their cookies I refuse to buy because of my "adventure" with them.
