Just confirmed: Nov 18 this year!
Color me, very surprised.
So I guess there will be overlap with Prodigy.
For the first time in 20 years, two shows will overlap:
Not surprised. Prodigy and Discovery aren't aiming for the same audience.
Nothing against Prodigy, but I don't have kids, so I'm not expecting to watch more than an episode or two just to satisfy my curiosity. If I did have kids, that would be different. I'd be watching it with them.
I will be tuning in! As one does.
It's for EVERYONE (kids, grandkids, parents, aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and/or your Inner Child ).
I was born without an inner child....
My inner child took over decades ago.
I suppose that if I still buy toys I still have an inner child.
On separate streaming services outside the US, though, which is far from ideal.
Ok, much earlier than I expected...
Not really. It is for kids and those tolerant of programs aimed at kids. I have kids so I will watch it, but probably start looking at my phone after a few episodes.
Funny that the kids show looks far more creative.
In Canada, we'll get them both on CTV Sci Fi, probably on the same night, which will recreate the days of DS9 seasons 3-6 and Voyager seasons 1-4, which in Canada were broadcast on Saturday nights. For some reason, DS9 season 7 and Voyager season 5 they got split up on separate nights.
I might have missed it, but do we know how many episodes this season is supposed to have?
I can't find anything.
I'm simply hoping Discovery finally finds its legs after three wildly wobbly series.
