Unification III sold me on this last season, and then "Terra Firma" was an amazing character piece. The rest was uneven but it was worth it for those three episodes.

I like Disco overall, though I think the third season was a step down, but I'll certainly agree Unification III was dreadful.

Unfortunately Beyer writes her episodes like Trek novels - ie fanwank. It just doesn't work as well on screen. My four least-favourite episodes of Disco and Picard are all hers.

I think it finally stood on it's own wildly wobbly legs last season and I'm hoping it'll learn to walk this time around. I love the period it is set in now.

I used to collect the 3/4" GI Joe's and some of the vehicles back in the '80s.
(when I was working at a K-bee toy store)

I ended up selling the whole lot for $450 to another collector back in 2014.
(though I did keep the space shuttle)

Funny that the kids show looks far more creative.

The show looks more visually active, but we have seen almost nothing to give any real indication of its creativity. Most kids shows I remember were more visually interesting than material created for adults.

It is what it is. I think people expecting DSC to radically change from its wild, over-the-top self are planning to be disappointed. I'm not sure why someone would do that, but have at it, I guess.

I was going through my boxes I have in storage this morning and I found another Rubbermaid box with about 60 of the late '80's/early '90's 3/4" Joe's in it.
They are all still on their cards.
I'm thinkin' I might start using my ebay account again.

Four years in, they know they're not going to get what they want. At this point, it's really all about feigning Mock Outrage that they didn't.
