Not surprised. Prodigy and Discovery aren't aiming for the same audience.
Nothing against Prodigy, but I don't have kids, so I'm not expecting to watch more than an episode or two just to satisfy my curiosity. If I did have kids, that would be different. I'd be watching it with them.
For the first time in 20 years, two shows will overlap:

Just confirmed: Nov 18 this year!
Not really. It is for kids and those tolerant of programs aimed at kids. I have kids so I will watch it, but probably start looking at my phone after a few episodes. It's for EVERYONE (kids, grandkids, parents, aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and/or your Inner Child![]()
).
In Canada, we'll get them both on CTV Sci Fi, probably on the same night, which will recreate the days of DS9 seasons 3-6 and Voyager seasons 1-4, which in Canada were broadcast on Saturday nights. For some reason, DS9 season 7 and Voyager season 5 they got split up on separate nights. On separate streaming services outside the US, though, which is far from ideal.
I can't find anything.I might have missed it, but do we know how many episodes this season is supposed to have?

I'm simply hoping Discovery finally finds its legs after three wildly wobbly series.Funny that the kids show looks far more creative.
