I seriously doubt that such a question would sway enough people, or even the right people, to effect such a change, even if she was asked that.

Yes, okay, fair enough - apologies to everyone I’ve very slightly misled - I am in fact writing an episode of the series of Doctor Who. Exactly like I said I never would. What can I tell you? There was begging, there was pleading but finally Russell agreed to let me have another go - so long as I got out of his garden. Working with old friends and a brand new Doctor I couldn’t be happier. Indeed. Much like how Davies didn't return during Moffat's era (and I'm pretty sure Moffat did ask, but I could be mistaken) and Moffat didn't return during Chibnall's. I look forward to Chibnall returning when the time is right for him, presumably during the next era, whoever might be leading it.

He's also witten a play and a novel since finishing up on DW, so hasn't been short of work.

A simultaneous release is a simultaneous release, it’s going to annoy someone. As an American, midnight GMT releases are great for me (especially when I was living on the west coast), and I was always annoyed by midnight eastern time (and especially midnight pacific time) releases. It’s ironic that the best time to put out a new episode is midnight three to six time zones ahead of its home market, but I don’t think that’s sunk in, yet.

He did indeed. Moffat invited RTD back every season he was showrunner, RTD declined each time.

IIRC, both RTD and Moffat have admitted that coming back to write content for the Lockdown Bonus Material back in 2020 reignited their passion for writing Doctor Who.
