Not necessarily, just something is on HBO Max doesn't mean WBD would have produced it, they acquire stuff just the same as a TV network does. So the new seasons could have been released on HBO Max, but still co-produced by Disney.

No TWB in Disney+ April schedule either. I completely get it, there is no benefit to them in showing it now and the money they spent is a rounding error on their balance sheet.

Time for people outside the UK to follow the advice of the presumptive next showrunner and pirate it.

Disney may have made a mistake by postponing release. I mean, I haven't seen numbers or anything, but it seems to have been heavily pirated. I mean, I'm in America and I've seen it. It was provided to me by a friend and I don't ask him questions. I've seen multiple YouTubers based in America reacting to it. By the time they finally get around to releasing it for American audiences, a lot of the potential audience will have already seen it or feel as if they have.

If it helps, the guy who wrote it told folks at Gallifrey One to get a VPN to watch it.

I watched it at the convention, so I could attend his panel without being spoiled. It was a long binge. Some episodes were better than others.

Yeah, waiting this long to release it is a really dumb move on the BBC's part, it's not like they need to take extra time to dub it or add subtitles. At this point, between pirating, and bad word of mouth, this is gonna have no audience if or when it is actually released.
At least with the British stuff I watch on PBS and Britbox I know that within a few months it will be available on one or other.

I'm pretty sure Disney's to blame here rather than BBC. I'm sure if BBC had any say in the matter, it would have been released in North America either simultaneously with the British release or within a matter of weeks afterward.
