Runabout question?

The problem there is the central corridor. In the reality of the show, every time they opened the aft door of the front section, or the front door of the aft section, we saw a blank wall, not a corridor.

So the central module should be configured differently, at least in every episode where those doors were opened.

Another roughly similar problem is that when the runabout is docked to DS9 (or seen crashed like in "Hippocratic Oath"), they use the partial exterior set that features the starboard door and not much else. But when that door is opened, again a blank wall is often seen (because the partial exterior set doesn't have much in the way of interiors). In the original layout of the forward spaces, we could always say that this was the side wall of the transporter alcove. In the later layout where the transporters were moved back, we should have seen into the cabin, getting a nice side view of the standalone tactical console.

Oh, well. We can probably argue that all the runabouts for which we saw the side door open were of the older model.

It's been a while so this will be sort of necroposting but I'm going to do it anyway. My Runabout Question is this:

Why didn't they use their runabouts to help deploy the damn mine field? I realize that probably only so many could fit in a runabout but it seems like if they were in a hurry they would've used them. In a tie in question- what was Martok's bird of prey doing that was so important it couldn't help out? What about those Militia ships that are forever evacuating people from the station? If they can carry the stations population to Bajor surely they could handle a couple of dozen mines right?

Once the Dominion started attacking obviously only the Defiant could deploy them. But before that time it seems like DS9 had a bunch of support craft at its disposal that could've sped up the process.

Martok was out waiting for the Dominion fleet so it could warn DS9 of their arrival, most likely he went outside of DS9's sensor range so he could scout ahead. Once the fleet was spotted and he reported it, Martok was heading in probably behind the Dominion fleet, to avoid detection, then went straight for the Worm Hole and waited for a moment to surprise the Jem'Hadar. The Bajoran Militia ships couldn't help the the Defiant, if they did they would be breaking their treaty with the Dominion. Why the Runabout's weren't used, I can only guess that they were busy shuttling Federation citizens and nonessential personnel off the station.

Considering how DS9 traveled from Bajor orbit to the area of the wormhole, why didn't they use the whole station to deploy the mines?
