News RUMOR: Whittaker potentially leaving

She regenerates at the end of this season I think. Or is it next season? I'm confused.

In the episode that will be shown as part of the BBC's Centenary celebrations; so some time in October/November next year. They don't have to shoot the other side of the regeneration for a long time yet.

Yes, she gets the specials before the next Doc. I hope this doesn't mean another extended "holding off the regeneration/farewell tour" set of specials - but if it doesn't, it confirms she's not mortally wounded etc by the Flux or whatever that is. Unless (idea!) the specials are "missing adventures" that the dying Doctor is remembering in the lead-up to her regeneration?

The BBC Centenary is really Jodie's only Special, because the other two "Specials" are really just regular episodes being promoted as something 'extra' for the sake of marketing and extending Jodie's tenure for another year.

I suspect this will be the case, although controversial opinion here, I don't think Planet of the Dead of Waters of Mars are that much more special than a regular episode.

They're "specials" in the sense that they're not being broadcast as part of a series. That and being a big longer* is about it.

*"Feature Length" seems to mean about 70 minutes when it comes to DW.

which would be about 90mins with ads

You can probably cut out anyone who's (a) white and (b) a man, so that will narrow it down some.

did it feel good, letting that out? bottles up inside and you have to open up the valve after awhile?

Are there really still people like you out out there? Would you not be happier posting on some alt-right forum where the rest of the closed-minded people like you hang out?

A shorter season of slightly longer, TV-Feature length episodes = special. Otherwise it's a miniseries *bows to applause*

The christmas eps were always fun, but I found the last season to be dragging not fun.

we seem to be at cross purposes. nevermind

I thought Lydia West was supposed to be a done deal ?

Although Ben Miller is apparently worrying the bookies....

It won't be Ben Miller.

Whilst I'd agree its unlikely, I wouldn't completely discount the idea of a white male Doctor, but I think it'd have to be someone significantly famous and/or critically acclaimed i.e. a Michael Sheen or a Hugh Grant, they're not going to do that for Ben Miller or Kris Marshall
