I have been getting increasingly angry at Angela in this thread as she parrots out each common anti-immigration line. Such as -
1) They are taking our jobs. I have heard my eldest son use this line. This is my eldest son who wouldn't work in an iron lung. Angela should give us an example of when an immigrant who was less qualified than her took a job from her.
2) They don't speak English properly. This comes from Angela who makes more spelling/grammar mistakes than my intellectually disabled son does. However my son is well educated so he has reached his full potential.
3) They don't want to integrate - Most of them do, and many of them aren't able to because of the racism they encounter
4) We are being swamped by boat people - even though boat people only make up about 10% of 'illegal immigrants" and as most boat people apply for refugee status they aren't illegal immigrants in the first place.
5) They rape our women - some do, but then again some white Anglo-Saxons also rape women.
6) They are uneducated - she overlooks the fact that many of them are highly educated. She also overlooks the fact that many people in Australia are poorly educated including herself (at least when it comes to her knowledge of Australian politics and history).

Well there is nothing wrong in pointing out facts about certain ethics
Even though some might not agree with what l am saying.
Also you can treat people with repect if you have a issue with someone you do not have to swear like a trooper to get your own way or draw attention to your self.
Also you dont have to go to do abit of schooling to see what Austraia is becoming you only have to look around or watch certain things on the news.

But ethics is a real word and completely puts a different spin on your sentence, amking it slightly less coherent. Good spelling and grammar convey meaning so much more clearly.

Maybe not here, but Angela certainly has support amongst the broader community. Xenophobia is on the rise everywhere in the west, and Australia has a higher proportion of immigrants - hell, including our Prime Minister
- amongst its population than almost any other western nation. It's a predictable response and not something to be overly concerned about of itself, but certainly one should keep an eye on things to ensure that it doesn't get out of hand; which includes considering it as an input in formulating immigration and refugee policy.Meanwhile I wish the quiet Iranian family was still living next door instead of the rowdy white partygoers who're there now.

Julia has told a current affair show that she doesnt want the levels of enthics to increase past 36 millino to 40 million.
I am glad she is thinking like this.

I live in Tasmania, and I live in Australia. Tasmania is just as much part of Australia as your state is. Tasmania has immigrants, in fact for many years we had the biggest Hmong population in Australia. We also have Sudanese and other black Africans within our community who don't cause any problems at all.
He is an example of how well one Sudanese refugee integrated into the Tasmanian comminity. This is quite typical immigrants fit in in Tasmania.
I said that my son (who BTW is 29 years old), spells better and has better grammar than you. That is the truth. Why shouldn't I talk about my son - I am proud of what he has managed to achieved despite his disability.

Tasmania is a part of Australia, historically, geographically and politically. Anyone who says different is ignorant. Australia has 6 states and one of them is Tasmania. That makes Tasmania politically part of Australia. Tasmania was joined to the Australian mainland up to 10,000 years ago. Tasmania shares many of its types of flora and fauna with the mainland. This means that Tasmania is geographically part of Australia. Tasmania was founded by many of the same people who found New South Wales, this means that Tasmania is historically part of Australia.
I never said that there weren't Sudanese that didn't cause problems. What I said is that you were judging an entire ethnic groups on the behaviour of their worst members.
The fact is the vast majority of members of any ethnic group are law abiding citizens and there isn't a group in Australia which this doesn't apply to.
If say, 95% of Sudanese obey the law, why should they be penalised for the small percentage in their community who don't.
And I will repeat - you make more spelling mistakes than my intellectually disabled son. That is a statement of fact.

Precisely. I have never really picked on someone for their spelling and grammar before, not in the 9 years I have been posting on this board.
However I think that if someone complains about someone else's English ability they leave themselves wide open to criticism if they also have bad English. Angela is the pot calling the kettle black as far as her criticism of the English of migrants is concerned.
