Riverdale production halted, Arrowverse shows may be next

I wonder how much they already have filmed and how many more episodes are left for each show. Also if this virus lasts along time we could end up seeing the rest of their seasons completely canceled meaning the story arcs would have to be completed at the beginning of next season really screwing up and plans they have for their next season.

Most shows should only have two or three episodes left to shoot at this point. Procedurals that are shutting down aren't expected to pick up their remainder but it's going to be harder for serialised shows.

Yeah, I saw a tweet from a series regular on NCIS New Orleans saying that the show has shut down for the season. The 100 shut down with one week left on on filming their series finale. I think the Arrowverse shows have about 3 or 4 episodes left. I’m not sure but I think Legends of Tomorrow finished filming all 16 episodes already.

I wouldn't mind if they attached the Season finales with the season premieres next season, so we can be spared cliffhangers on shows. So basically the current season finale will be the next season premiere and things will just be pushed back a week, or they can take a week usually designated for a hiatus and air new episodes.

I guess it's a matter of time till Discovery gets shutdown. I assume Picard is already finished. I really hope Better Call Saul is all in the can.

I think Discovery is already finished.

If is we could see them move up the release date. People are going to be looking for new content with so many shows halted or delayed. In fact it could have a chance to truly get big ratings and impress people who never watched before, provided the season is good.

Or The CW airs new episodes into the summer. They're going to finish filming their seasons.

When do they usually start filming the seasons? Could the shut down also affect the next seasons too?

Usually July, I think. And if they still can't shoot by then I think we'll be more concerned with watching Max Max movies to get tips for surviving in our new world then about some TV shows...

Batwoman, too, per Deadline.

I imagine everything will be shut down, including Superman & Lois, which was to start production shortly.
The silver linings in all of this:

- it gives everyone a well deserved break and the writers more time to plan out the next season

- it gives Melissa time to have her baby and shoot a continuous production schedule instead of the jumbled one they had planned

- could allow for some interesting creative episode flow depending on how they shoot and release the last of this season’s and next season’s episodes

After my last post I realized that most of the stuff is only being delayed until the end of the month, so most of this stuff is probably going to be up and running again in a couple weeks.

And, unsurprisingly, you can add 'Supernatural' to the list as well. But it's in a worse position, since it doesn't have another season to roll episodes into and Jared has a new series waiting to start production.

How was I wrong in pushing back against what felt to me like unfounded assumptions?

Also, my comment about ridiculousness was in relation to cascading shutdowns of things, which feels to me like a disproportionate overreaction.
