RIP Miguel Ferrer

stoneroses

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
Very sorry to hear we lost Miguel Ferrer at only 61.
I loved him in Robocop and I remember his appearance in Star Trek 3.

^ As did I, and his role in TSFS was the first thing to come to mind when I saw this thread.

His death comes as a surprise.

RIP

It came as a surprise when I read it, but apparently it was obvious to people who watch NCIS: LA. He still wanted to work as his illness progressed, and a lot of people thought he had a stroke. I wonder if Twin Peaks was his final role.

He hadn't looked well this season on NCIS: LA. Earlier this season they had mentioned that his character was sick and then this week on the show
arrested and when he was being transfered to another location he was stabbed several times.

RIP.

Let's hope that 2017 isn't as bad as 2016 was.

According to Deadline, he still has several more episodes of NCIS: LA and Twin Peaks in the can.

The first time I saw him was in an episode of "Magnum P.I.", when he guest-starred in the same episode as his dad, Jose Ferrer. Then I remember him from "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock", "Iron Man III" and especially "Robocop". But I guess I'll always remember him from "NCIS".

RIP Mr. Ferrer.

Man, we're getting started early this year. R.I.P.

Does it speak poorly of me if I remember him best from "Hot Shots" and "Bionic Woman"?

I'm a huge fan of the whole NCIS franchise, and I noticed in the last few episode he didn't look well. I'm behind a bit, and in the last episode I saw him I noticed that he did not look well, and he was slurring his speech noticeably.
I first learned who he was when my mom and I started watching Crossing Jordan. I didn't learn until recently that he was in The Search For Spock, so it turns out that was the first thing I saw him in, rather the Crossing Jordan. Since then I've seen him in quite a few other things along with them and NCIS: LA.

RIP

Hot Shots was a big hit movie. Bionic Woman, on the other hand, was not a big hit TV show. :p

To be honest I never knew his name, but whenever his face popped up in something, and he was in alot of things, I knew he would give a great performance. RIP

Hot Shots was a big movie, but Ferrer was in the sequel ;)

He will be missed, I was (and still am) eagerly awaiting to see his return as Albert on Twin Peaks. Loved his role on that.

What a great actor. I can't say his real name was something I always knew but I always knew him when I saw him in something. You could bet a solid performance was coming. RIP good sir.

I found a few days ago via another message board that apparently writer Peter David was friends with him. When creating Spider-man 2099 he used Miguel's name for the new alter ego. Link here.

I just found out that Miguel Ferrer is doing the voice of Deathstroke in the upcoming DC animated movie Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. It's one of his last non NCIS: LA roles. :(
