Rick Berman's Nemesis Commentary

That commentary annoyed me when he mentioned the episode after BoBW was Home when in fact it was Family. He seemed to know very little about the shows he made.

Now, I'm not a fan of Berman in any way shape or form, but after producing over 600 hours of Trek and trying to instantly recall the name of one of the episodes, he may have, ya know, made a mistake.

Seconded. And I hate Berman.

Thirded. Though I am a bit disappointed that he couldn't remember the episode title considering he's the one who wrote it (with a "written by" credit, meaning he came up with the story and wrote the script himself).

Ronald D. Moore wrote "Family," not Rick Berman.

That's fortunate because if it was pronounced the way it was spelled, people would be thinking of what Bob Barker said at the end of every TPIR episode...

At least Tim Burton didn't do the commentary. He actually had to have someone interview him on the commentary for Big Fish.

^ With Burton's commentaries, you almost forget that you're actually listening to a commentary because he says nothing for minutes at a time, then suddenly pops up with insightful stuff like "I really like this guy's hat. That's a great hat."

I can't actually remember whether I listened to Baird's Nemesis commentary (I don't have the version with Berman's), but because I usually do listen to DVD commentaries that suggests it was so dull I've blotted it from my mind.

^ beleive me, you would be crying for Baird to get animated about a guy's hat. It's like listening to a taped autopsy report.

I think I once described Baird's commentary as being blander than drinking a diet Sprite in a white room on a Wednesday.

I agree about the Baird commentary, nearly fell asleep during it. Haven't got the special edition yet with the Berman one either so can' commentbon that.

:guffaw:

Baird's commentary was painful for me to listen to. I listened to about ten minutes and then lost complete interest.

I watched about an hour of Nemesis today with Berman's commentary on.

It's true, he kinda sounds bored. But he also takes some aims against Stuart Baird which is a delight for me. Berman isn't "fond" (nice way of putting it) of the Roman font, lowering Worf's voice and those unnecessary 3D-buttons.

Baird shows his use of influence quite clearly. In his track he talks about him liking blue and that's why the controls in the Enterprise where more blueish. *shakinghead*
