Rian Johnson trilogy canceled

While it is true that the internet has shaped how we get our news, I’m far more prone to trust verifiable news sources as opposed to an article from a website I’ve never heard of that got their “news” from a YouTube channel that got their “scoop” from a completely unverifiable “inside source.” And yes, I have and will continue to question these things. While there have been true things to come this way (the Obi-Wan news finally breaking for instance), more often than not it tends to be an effort in wish fulfillment and generating clicks for cash.
Exactly. Trust but verify and identify your sources. Random YT video is a tertiary source, at best, and not something I would hang my hat on. Primary sources, and thus far, we have none regarding this story.

they planned them.. they ANNOUNCED them.

If proper vetting had replaced hubris they would have been careful about they officially announce to the public. They once thought they would release one film a year indefinitely.

How do you know they thought so? I think it's more likely that the plan all along was to release a movie a year to see how long they could maintain their maximum profits and then take a break. And that's what they did.

How many times has Kathleen Kennedy been fired now?
How about Alex Kurtzman?
For that matter, how many times has Discovery been cancelled?
Or Picard?
Or Doctor Who?

Why is this any different from any of those occasions? This is all about wish fulfillment and generating clicks. Yes. Eventually Kennedy and Kurtzman will be gone. Eventually Discovery, Picard and even Doctor Who will end. Yes, eventually Disney will even stop making Star Wars movies.

And the morons who have been touting this shit will celebrate. But truth be told: Even a broken clock is right twice a day. And they will still be touting bullshit.

No it isn't.
And as of last week Rian was still talking with LucasFilm about his movies.

Right. But apparently according to some “sources“ on this BBS, he’s “the only one talking about it.” Never mind logic. Or common sense. Or anything like that.
