Spoilers Reviewing the older trailers mid-season

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Enterprise-D rebuilt, say, as Riker’s pet project. But I would also want to see a new Enterprise-F, preferably as the main baddie-ship ordered to hunt down Picard.

Is he using a kit and building it in his garage?

"Fifteen years ago, today, you led us out of the darkness. You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history. Then, the unimaginable. What did that cost you? Your faith? Your faith in us? Your faith in yourself? Tell us, why did you leave Starfleet, Admiral?"

That bit from the original teaser has been bugging me for a bit now - obviously, it's not the delivery or wording used in the actual interview from ep 1. Not only is the delivery much softer, but "you led us out of the darkness. You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history" doesn't line up with the actual story being told, where he certainly did not 'lead them out of the darkness'. Was that a deliberate mislead?
I thought that was supposed to be Laris?
Maybe from a flashback?

It very much sounds like something she would say.

Why would Picard be having a flashback of Laris saying "15 years ago you saved us"? I want what he's smoking (probably the stash he got from Raffi).
Well, it could be a flashback to just a few weeks ago.
Maybe he's dreaming about the terrible interview and Laris is the voice he hears?
<BIG stretch>
:shrug:

The part where Picard tells the Admiral “a young women came to see me .. she could be in serious danger” didn’t make the final cut, presumably because that woman was already dead. Was that created for the trailer to make Dahj’s death more of a surprise?
The first part is at HQ, the second part at his home

so this is maddox in the december trailer yeah?

played by a different actor presumably.

I think the main bad guy ship being the Enterprise-E would be better, mostly because we're familiar with it. It'd be great seeing it, then all of a sudden it turns out it isn't there to save Picard, but to apprehend him. I do wonder if CBS might do that in later seasons, with the success of Captain Pike and the Enterprise in Discovery, they could try do the same thing and use it as a backdoor pilot for a new Enterprise show.
