I realize that you're going for humor about this, but the fact is that our Sun will not last forever, and Earth certainly won't. That's why we really need to kick people out of their apathy - or in some cases, their antipathy - toward the space program. It won't matter one bit what name we give the Moon if there's nobody around to use it.
The Sun has approximately 5 billion years. Earth has less, and humans far less even than Earth. Given that there are many crucial things we don't yet know how to do, to make interstellar flight possible, let alone find habitable planets elsewhere, it really isn't too soon to take this seriously. One can't imagine why ``we only have five billion years before the Earth ceases existing!'' doesn't rally people to immediate action.
As for Earth-how about Wrigley's Pleasure Planet?
Already got one: ⨁Maybe we should all just pull a Prince and change its name to a symbol. We would then all then refer to our planet as the planet formerly known as Earth.
