Godspeed, Rene. I’m watching “His Way” in honor of yours.

'His Way' is probably my favorite Odo episode. He finally got the nerve to ask Kira on a date. With a little help from Vic Fontaine and a little luck, the two finally got together and the rest is history. One of the 'feel good' DS9 episodes.

Another was the episode where Vic cheered up Nog who just lost his leg in the battle, which I rewatched when Aron passed on a few months back. Guess I'll need to rewatch 'His Way' in Rene's memory soon too

just heard it in the news I met him only a few years ago. No airs and graces at all and no playacting for the public either. So many celebs create an offstage-persona behind which they hide their real selves. He was very different in that respect and was never afraid to be just who he was. One of the friendliest, gentlest and most intelligent men I've ever met and one of the extremely few people who were able to laugh at themselves.
We drove the photographer crazy by making weird faces - but after 5 minutes he managed to catch us looking decent. I love this pic as Renee has that sparkle in his eyes
