I’m only in season three of my current rewatch and it’ll be with a heavy heart going forward as it has been for Aron. May he find eternal peace in the great link.
I’m glad he and Aron Eisenberg got to be a part of the DS9 documentary before they died.
I'm heartbroken. Tonight, I may watch the episode he directed, The Quickening--an amazing contemplation of mortality, humility and perseverance.
Odo was always one of my favourites from DS9. Such a great character brought to life by an equally great actor. RIP.
Damn. I was having a pretty good day until this.

Odo is probably the star trek character I can most identify with and this just breaks my heart.
This is very sad news. An excellent actor, director, and a lovely human. I had the pleasure of meeting him at DragonCon years ago, and he was just great.
He always made his characters feel alive and real, and Odo was definitely no exception. One of the foundations of why DS9 is my favorite STAR TREK series, Odo was an absolutely joy to watch from start to finish.

He was awesome. Rene was always great at conventions. Such a lovely person.

I wish i would've had the honor of meeting Aron and Rene at conventions but may they both rest in paradise.

I'm glad I was able to meet him once at a small scifi con in Richardson, Texas about ten years ago. He was so kind & generous with his time while I was fanboy'ing. And he remembered my name later during his Q&A panel.
Constable Odo is my favorite character on my favorite series of the franchise.
