René Auberjonois has died

Well, fuck.
Incomparably great as Odo, and unforgettable as the original Father Mulchahy in the movie verison of M*A*S*H*.

I’m only in season three of my current rewatch and it’ll be with a heavy heart going forward as it has been for Aron. May he find eternal peace in the great link.

Damn. I was having a pretty good day until this.

Rest in peace Rene. The Promenade is safe.
Thanks for all the entertainment.

This is very sad news. An excellent actor, director, and a lovely human. I had the pleasure of meeting him at DragonCon years ago, and he was just great.

He always made his characters feel alive and real, and Odo was definitely no exception. One of the foundations of why DS9 is my favorite STAR TREK series, Odo was an absolutely joy to watch from start to finish.

Thank you for all your phenomenal work, Rene. If the Great Link is anything like where we end up... the drop has now become a part of the ocean.

I just found this out on Facebook.
First Nog, now Odo?
I loved his work as Odo on Deep Space Nine.
I wish i would've had the honor of meeting Aron and Rene at conventions but may they both rest in paradise.
My condolences to their families. I miss them both.

NOOOO! Omg. This is horrible! May he RIP. I was really hoping we'd see him one more time as Odo on some future episode of Star Trek: Picard. :weep:

Such sad news.

I'm glad I was able to meet him once at a small scifi con in Richardson, Texas about ten years ago. He was so kind & generous with his time while I was fanboy'ing. And he remembered my name later during his Q&A panel.

Constable Odo is my favorite character on my favorite series of the franchise.
