Spoilers References in "Discovery"?

Well they did show a Wireframe of it.

But there really was no reason to show it on screen, since all they needed to know was how it crossed over.

Plus they probably want the first true appearance of a Constitution class to be in the Prime Universe.

DSC isn't a sci-fi show that deals in showing the spaceships it talks about on screen. How often did we get a scene now where a ships closes in on the Discovery but we do net get one single shot of it?

So now we get our first DSC glimpse of a Constitution - and it's actually nothing short of an ENT reference!

Captain Pike's ship is basically the hypothetical "NX-01 refit", with ENT style engines, lighting effects and surface texture. Now this could be considered good continuity and a consistent design lineage and whatnot, if not for the unfortunate fact of all of us having seen "The Cage" that showed the ship a couple of years prior to this encounter...

I wonder if the ENT aesthetique will carry on to the interiors, which will have to wait till the next season. Then again, the season ender showed some new uniforms with color schemes linking it to "The Cage", so perhaps TPTB will go for TOS references instead?
