Redo the Friday's Child Klingon ship?

KIRK:"Damn...

She's set to PERMANENT PRESS...

Sulu...prepare to eject the recorder marker with the ship's logs!!!"

NEWS FLASH!

I was over on trekmovie.com this morning and I saw a remastered version of this ship there. Posting it must have been a mistake because a few minutes later it was gone, but before it disappeared, I grabbed the pic. As a scoop on future remastered Star Trek, here it is:

And they added a voiceover line from Scotty when it appears:

Mr. Scott: "You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kiss three bucks goodbye."

It's the replacement of the score with Flight of the Valkyries that really sells Scotty's line...

;)

KIRK:"Oh, well.

There goes any chance of my shirts fitting for the ship's potluck on Friday night."

The ENT scout would make a great addition to TOS and would probably not be seen close up anyway.

Actually both the ENT designs are excellent.

Actually, that's not the scout ship (that's some Bird of Preys and a D5).

That's the scout ship (copy and paste link).

Curious to see what they do, I think that ship would be ok... allthough the angle isn't just right there (allmost) I think it has a similar shape to pass but it would either be flying backwards or maybe just the oposite direction.

That works suprisingly well (not that it works great, just that I didn't think it would work at all). Ideally, they wouldn't use the exact same ship (even if every series seemed to have the Klingons - and even the Federation - re-use old designs). It should be a new design. I don't care if they have something similar to this ship (it would be a nice touch, but its not needed at all).

Well, I have to admit, if they do make a new ship for Friday's Child and .. ugh.. spaced it.. the Organia Episode (TM), that I would hope they would stick heavily with the D-7 asthetic and make a destroyer from it.

Well if they were to keep the D-7 asthetic I guess they could use the design they didn't get to in Unexpected. While I think it would be cool to have seen the ship I think at the distance it would be dificult to distinguish it from the D-7 anyway.

Though, I admit, why should the D-7 in Friday's Child NOT be a D-7? In Organia, they at least CALL it a destroyer...

I'm guessing if we can see ANY detail at all, it'll look more like a 22nd century Raptor scout or 23rd century Bird-of-Prey than a big battlecruiser, since Scotty and Chekov consistently refer to the distant vessel as relatively small and scout-class. Although Okuda and his team might surprise us with an all-new design that nobody has ever thought of before.

The Klingon says he has a scout ship. I personally don't think a D7 would have backed down from a fight that easily, so I'd be guessing it was something smaller.

Which supports the B-o-P/Raptor theory. A Constitution-class Federation starship versus anything smaller than a D5 or D7 cruiser in the 2260s would likely have meant a Klingon defeat. If Kras's ship back off from a direct clash with the Enterprise, it probably didn't have the size or firepower to hold its own.

I got the impression that the Klingon was LYING about the type of ship he had up there... But I wouldn't see a D-7 back down THAT easily... unless, ya know, JAMES T KIRK is around!

"NOT THE JAMES T KIRK! Allow us to escort you to the wounded ship, Captain!"

Let's face facts.

Bob the Discount Klingon probably wasn't good enough an officer/warrior to get a D7. Would you give that guy anything of power and tactical value?
