Recurring plots

"The Tempest" > FORBIDDEN PLANET > TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah."

THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL > TOS: "Assignment: Earth"

And let's not forget:

TOS: "The Naked Time" > TNG: "The Naked Now"

Awah sorry but we we're only looking for STU/canon (the shows and movies is what I mean), minus Points ;-). BONUS points for an obvious one that was totally missed... D'OH!

Also, Gary Seven should've got a show fo sho' yo! :-P.

Anyone shake any more out the the STU shows/movies, or shall it be open to "where they got the inspiration for that episode"?

At some point I am going to watch these sets back to back and see how they compare (and/or see if the latter ones make more references to the previous etc)

Naked Time and Naked Now were pointed out already, however, that reminds me of another one.

TOS Wink of an Eye => VOY Blink of an Eye

Crap you're right haha I forgot, should make a chart... YOU GET THE CROWN! esp since you actually brought up the next OH D'OH obvious one.

TNG "The Measure of a Man" => DS9 "Dax" => VOY " Author, Author"

"Dax" is a little different (and far far worse) than the other two, but I put it in the same category because it's still a courtroom setting determining the agency of an individual.

Yup I totally see it... I had thought of another, but I forgot... DS9's Second Sight maybe (TOS: "Elaan of Troyius" > TNG: "The Perfect Mate" > ENT: "Precious Cargo").

TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah."
Fast-forward 20+ years, and there are 4 Highlander movies and 2 TV series, based on ancient Immortals who had an original death and then couldn't die... I don't know for sure if the creators of those movies and TV series were Star Trek fans, but if not, it's quite a coincidence.

Actually there are 5 Highlander live-action films (and 1 animated film).
I didn't know they'd made a fifth one, or anything animated.

I was always more into the two TV series than the movies.

There's a fanfic series (forget where I saw it posted now) in which Richie didn't die. He lives on and 300 years later, he joins Starfleet.
